My thought on The Glint token and other Update coming up April 2nd on Splinterlands

April 2nd is a day that comes with the new update from Splinterlands.

The first news that caught my attention in their announcement post was that modern players will earn 50% more glint tokens than those playing wild and seems I am a modern player, this favors me greatly.

Secondly is that we can now choose the kind of reward we want instead of them just giving us a random reward in the chest, Even though I have maxed all the cards on Emp-warden, it took me a while because there were two legendaries I did not get and while I had some legendary double max, I did not see 2 spares to max those other two and it took me months to get them maxed. This new system will solve that ish for others.

In case you are not updated and do not know what the Glint token is about... This is the new token that will replace reward points when we battle, we won't earn reward points anymore instead we will be getting a Glint token which can be used in the new shop on Splinterlands to buy stuff we need

Another news I find interesting is that we can now use the Glint to purchase Energy, I often convert my sps to vouchers to buy energy to play but with the new token, I won't need to use my sps for that anymore, especially when I have all the reward cards maxed already.

I would work on using the glint to buy some Gladius packs too because I am still far behind in getting the Gladius maxed.

So the two things I will be using my glint token to do is purchase merits and energy, I would contain my excitement and see how much glint token one can earn in a day to know if the new system is a better one than the old one.

Another Important update is Splinterlands employing Sylar the dev and founder of Xbot to help detect bots and battle helper in modern format... This is great news as it would create fair play in the modern format and things will be back to how they used to be back in the early days of Splinterlands where players can defeat one another and brag about it without anyone feeling like the other is using some sort of mechanism to help them win.
