Gratitude and Appreciation (THANK YOU MR NEOXIAN)

What is 2024 on hive without the City? I mean my hive journey and experience was great but Neoxian city made it sweet. In the city I learned, I earned and I made friends.

The city that connects, the city that unites and the city that builds. Our online community which connects us all irrespective of our race, background and traits. Before taking my city exam and becoming fully vested in the discord channel, I was what you'd call a backyard member lol. Although I was given my student role, I wasn't confident enough to take the exam.

Worse is that I got so destabilised with relocation and trying to fit into my environment again working two jobs that days turned to weeks and weeks to months since I was given the materials to study by @justfavour. I went on in the city for almost a year still being a student and in fact I got comfortable in the student role. Every now and then @abenad will pop up and ask me how far I have gone with the student material and when will I be taking the exam, I'd tell her soon. Everytime is soon and it is almost never ending.

I had studied the materials and they were easily digested but I was scared of failing. Even though @justfavour message to me was to take my time with studying the materials and take the exam at my convenience, I still thought that my student role had expired and I will have to request it again. A little secret, I was scared to go back and request it again so I just went on happily as a student but @abenad was not having it.

One night in the city when we had some new students pass their exams and take up the blunt role, she texted me sounding like my mother. She didn't say it but her tone went, "look at your life, grandma of student role. Chairlady of students affairs, you are here and new intake are passing the exams, what exactly are you doing with your life?

Lol ok, what she actually said was, “bipolar when will you finally take the exams, what's stopping you? What are you waiting for?

I'm like I needed to go over the materials one more time to be sure I got it. Well at that point @abenad was fed up with my excuses and she gave me an ultimatum. She said to me again, “bipolar better message favour now and tell him that you are ready to take the exam tonight.”

I gave her the neo shock emoji because what do you mean tonight for a material that I haven't looked at in months. I got agitated and I developed cold feet. I asked her what if I fail? I'll take it tomorrow. Let me use this night to study I had concluded.

But Abenad's response changed everything when she said to me, "you can't fail. You are smart, you are intelligent and you will smash it". That guys, was how I texted Favour and took the city exam and I passed. @abenad words to me established in my subconscious that I can do anything and everything because I am capable.

I got my blunt role and I needed to become a citizen plus, I didn't even know there was a time frame. @abenad again would take some of her time in the evenings and give them to me and we'd chat in the city to increase my rank.

At first she was basically the one that I chat with mostly because it's her that I know and when she's not online I'm not chatting. Sometimes I'll just read other people's chat. I was like the new girl and @abenad was the friend who held my hands up to the point she saw I was ready to fit in and she let go.

It was Saturday of the week, I had gotten my blunt role and it was almost time for mee6 reset on Sunday. @justfavour after checking my rank, informed me of the need to try and reach level 12 before Sunday. According to him, I was too close to getting the plus role for me to be caught up with the reset and have to start all over. Not @justfavour but I saw everyone else actively motivating me. Abenad wasn't online so who do I chat with? Well, I didn't need to bother anymore because everyone else started chatting me up and when I eventually became orange, it was @olujay who gave the final push to make it possible.

My experience in the city increased the amount of love that I have in my life. Basically, where there is love, there is confidence and the ability to constantly improve and be better. For me, it's not just a discord server that Mr D created but a wellness center of which I am grateful to be a part of. Thank you Sir.

The highlight of my 2024 experience in the city, was the mega giveaway. You see the mega price of $2000 was juicy but it is the level of trust we had for ourselves that solidified it. Thanks to @burlarj it wasn't a selective win but a prize that we all came together to loot. No one was left behind.

To @nkemakonam87, thank you babe for a worthy 2024. Thank you for the updates. I mean, what is my hive journey without you constantly coaching me and guiding me on my blogging activities? Thank you for your love and thank you for the gift of friendship.

To @justfavour, yes besty you are an amazing teacher and you are great at what you do. You are also the sweetest soul ever that came with 2024. Thank you for your time and don't you stop being sweet.
