I recently switched to Antigravity, an AI tool from Google, for my coding needs. Claude's subscription was very good, and I was initially using my friend's credentials. That was only a testing phase for me to find out how it works and experience Claude. I should say that the experience was amazing. I have switched between 3 tools so far. I started with Codex, and then I switched to Claude, and now I'm trying out Gemini with the help of Antigravity.
It had only been a few days since I started using Antigravity, and I wanted to understand a few things that were familiar in my previous experience. Caveman was one such thing that I was using with Claude. The reason was that the token consumption was heavy while using the latest models. That's why I wanted to find out how the token handling and context retention are done by Gemini. I was curious, and I asked AI if there is a facility available to install the Caveman plugin. I was surprised by the response.

Caveman is a plugin that is very useful in Claude because, after using Caveman, I was able to reduce the token usage by almost 70 percent. After using Caveman, the token was not depleting at all for me, and I was able to use it completely. I was expecting a similar experience here as well, and that's why I urged you to ask that question and understand how Gemini handles the token management and session management.
I have to admit that so far, I have had an excellent experience with Antigravity. Especially when it comes to UI work, it is very good, and I have to use the right prompt to make good use of it. I have also been using the same chat window for a very long time, and the token usage is not that big. I might even find it hard to deplete the entire token before the 7-day window is over.
I'm not sure about the facility we have for free subscription, but getting a paid subscription is worth it, I should say. I'm going to give it a few more days to see how things go, and then find out if it was worth it to use Gemini as my new coding assistant when there are so many other alternatives available in the market.
