Yesterday, there was news that Oracle is letting many employees go. This is silently happening in many companies already, and some companies have publicly disclosed it. The IT industry is going to be transformed in another 1 year or even less than that. Vibe coding is just not a fancy thing anymore, and many people are able to build production-ready applications with the help of vibe coding. AI is getting more and more advanced these days. Today, it is also not very costly to build any application. The development cost has reduced so much.

People who usually take 3 months to build something are taking just 3 days to build, and the development time and troubleshooting time have become very minimal with the help of AI. Vibe coding was seen as a sin during the early AI days, but today it has become a mandatory thing in many companies, and that helps developers deploy agents and get the task done.

Team size in companies can be very minimal
It is no longer mandatory to have a big scrum team to handle a project. With the help of AI, it is more than sufficient to handle projects with a very small team. In the future, things will change where developers, instead of working on one or two projects, will start working on 10 or more projects simultaneously because of the AI agents.
More projects can be done within a short span of time
It is a very good thing that AI is helping out. AI is not going to reduce the business for companies. It is just going to change the way the business is done. If the sales team is able to bring more projects to the company, the delivery time will be faster now with the help of AI agents. The cost is still going to be the same or might get competitive, but the rate at which something gets delivered is going to be amazing.
More projects and more revenue
Doing more projects can bring more revenue to the company. It is not mandatory to reduce the headcount in the company. It is just a transition that anyone in the company will have to undergo to find out if they will survive in this AI era, where their skills are competitive against AI agents. People will have to develop unique skills so that they can stay in the company. The more people that stay in the company, the more projects can be taken up, and that gradually brings more revenue to the company.
