Is it Really Stealing if it was Stolen First?

Making ends meet seems to be getting more difficult by the day; it's as though things become worse as the day goes by, and regardless of how much you try, you just end up struggling to survive. So with all of those happening, if I were to, by any chance whatsoever, get my hand on a suitcase filled with money that was misplaced by a politician of my country, what would I do? Would I return the money back to the owner, knowing fully well it was another public fund they're about to cart away with, or would I assume ownership of the money to transform my life for good? Below I talked about what my decision would be.

Like I said above, it's quite difficult to make ends meet, and I'm no exception to that reality. In fact, I often wonder how I survive month after month because each time I calculate what I've spent in a month, I can't help but wonder how I've spent about 150% of my wages on a monthly basis, and yet it's more like I'm struggling because that still isn't enough. So seeing a suitcase filled with as much as 500,000 dollars without a doubt seems like an open door to financial freedom, especially when I have to leave with the reality that it belongs to one of our wicked politicians.

I understand a lot of people might think otherwise, but I for one don't believe we've got any good politicians with a clean record; they all have their shady side and track record of evil, it's just that people tend to follow the ones with a lesser track record of evil. So with my own kind of belief, I wouldn't have any reason whatsoever to return the money to them, knowing fully well that they have no good intentions for my country and its people. I'd rather take the money for myself, invest it into something profitable, and impact my community positively with it in the future.

$500,000 when converted into naira is a huge amount of money; in fact, according to today's exchange rate, that's about 760 million naira, which can go a long way in not only transforming one's life financially but also going on to invest in multiple businesses that can yield interest and transform one's story for good. So like I said above, I won't be returning the money, but I'll keep it for myself, inasmuch as it belongs to a politician; if it were to belong to someone else, then I would have.

I'm sure you might say what I'm doing is stealing. Yes, of a truth, it's stealing, but I'd rather have that for myself and do something worthwhile with it to transform my life and impact my community than give it back to a politician who'll still use it for their personal needs.
