Never Again.

See there are some things that we do in life that feel like fun in the moment, exciting even, until reality now hits you hard and you are left to wondering what exactly was going through your head, I
So honestly, this prompt made me laugh like seriously, because there’s one experience I can never forget, and it is something I will never try again no matter how bored or tempted I get, infact how do I even want to try it sef? Lol.... see ehn some “fun” is not meant for everybody, and I learnt that the hard way.

Lol.... So I will not forget this day for anything, there was this day I and a couple of friends were sent on an error and, so we boarded a keke napep to take us to the market, on our way back we met with one of our friend who owns a keke napep too, so we followed him home since he lived in same place as us, and that's how the guys in the keke started doing stunt of coming down from the keke, it was fun watching them, not quiet long, I remember I had not gotten everything I was sent to buy, so I asked him to stopped, before he finally come to a halt, I decided to wanted to try my own stunt and that's how I jumped outt of the moving keke, just like how I had seen my friends do.

Omo, I met myself on the ground, I layed there for what seemed like an eternity, people gathered me thinking I was dead, all the while I was lying down, I was only trying to process why had happened to me with my eyes close and my head banging from pain of hitting the ground lol, see as fun almost turn to my death bed, God forbid bad thing lol.

Omo it wasn't funny at all o.

Even now when I think about it, I just shake my head, the confidence I had that day was unnecessary confidence, infact let's call it what it is ,"Mumu confidence" I really thought because others did it and laughed, I would also land safely and stand up like nothing happened, I forgot that life doesn’t treat everybody the same way, and sometimes your own experience will be very different from what you watched others do.

Omo that fall taught me a very serious lesson about following crowd and doing things just because it looks fun, the embarrassment, the pain, and the way people surrounded me thinking the worst had happened, lol , all of that is something I never want to experience again, till today, anytime I see people doing stunts or risky things for cruise, I just remember that day and quietly mind my business.

Looking back, I thank God nothing serious happened to me sha, there were no broken bones, no hospital admission, nothing permanent, but that was pure grace because it could have gone very wrong, since that day, I know my limits, and I don’t joke with my safety again.

Some fun is not fun at all, Some fun comes with regrets, and this one is top of my list, never again.
