Waking up to the sound of my alarm, and having an opportunity to make the best out of another day is what I’m most grateful for. There are probably thousand of people that did not get this chance.
I don’t often watch the news because there’s always an injustice going on somewhere and it just hurts my heart.
Few days ago, I was reminded of such pain when someone turned on the news at work.
It’s sad how these people are being oppressed and the world just looks on. It’s also one of the things that reminds me to be grateful cause I could be in the exact same same situation as these people, hungry, homeless, bereaved or probably even dead.
If I should talk about my family, I wouldn’t be able to finish this write up.
One thing I’m most proud of and most grateful for is the sense of independence we were raised with. Both my parents were/are self employed and we’ve had some quite tough days. Of course we’ve always had food to eat, but we’ve had days we were sent home from school because we’ve not fully paid our school fees. I have blurry images of when I would check my mom’s purse for coins after she came from the market and there would be nothing or days my dad didn’t buy anything for breakfast cause he just couldn’t afford it. But I never saw them ask for any help. They just went out the next day and worked harder. I’m grateful I grew up in that environment, cause it taught me to never rely on anyone for help and to put it the work to get what I want. There are also those instances you see your agemates do certain things and wonder if they have parents at all, cause you can’t be out here embarrassing them like this😂.
I’m grateful for my friends. Almost everyday, I wake up to them sharing opportunities with me. Jobs, scholarships, internships amongst others that they think I would qualify for.
I’m often surprised that they think I fit into those requirements but grateful that they thought of me when they saw it.
And last but not the least, I’m grateful for myself. The way I think and the way I react to situations is something I’m happy about.
Especially when it’s something I’m hoping to achieve, something I’m praying about. Most often, by the time the result arrives, I’ve made peace with it and I accept whatever results it is wholeheartedly. I’m often very optimistic about the future and I feel setbacks are just another stepping stone to bigger things.

If you get money and you forget him then your head tear bi that 🤣
Anyway, having a family like that is really nice
We’re grateful to God for supportive families
That man seff, he is trying to use me to make money. Me I’m just playing along with him😂😂😂
Ey🤣🤣🤣
I always say people will always do what they want no matter how they were brought up. It’s all about having a conscience.
Sometimes the youth forget that their actions are a projection of their upbringing. But well, life still goes on.
Your family is cute, just pass your brother to me. The tall one though.😂
This is so true. All my siblings are so different. Everyone has their lives and goals totally different. Some of them too have my mom questioning where she went wrong.
If you are talking about the guy with the white sneakers, I really don’t know him from anywhere. He is just my brother’s friend that popped up on Eid day and went with us. I don’t even know his name.
But for my tall brother, the one I’m standing next to, he is married with two kids. Are you still interested?😂😂
That’s just life. You can’t have all your kids to be angels.😂 me like this, I’m the black sheep.
That’s how your brother is giving you out.😂😂 he will pop up again and carry to heart away.
You know, second wife won’t be bad. I’m down for it.😂😂
