Everyone has something they hold dear, something they don’t joke with no matter the situation. For me, that thing is my immediate family and standing up against injustice. These two are my non-negotiables. You can take anything away from me, but not my love for my family and my strong dislike for injustice.
Let me start with family. I didn’t just wake up one day and decide that my family matters most it grew on me. From childhood, I’ve always seen how much my family sacrifices and looks out for one another. Whether it’s emotional support, financial help, or just being present in tough times, my family has always been my backbone. That kind of love and loyalty can’t be bought. So when people try to mess with them or disrespect them, it hits me differently. I don’t play with that.
My siblings and parents are my biggest source of motivation. Even on days when I feel like giving up, just thinking about them gives me strength. I may not say it out loud every day, but I carry them in my heart all the time. No matter where life takes me, they remain at the center of my world. That’s how deep it is. My family is my safe place, my peace, and my first home. That’s why they are non-negotiable to me.
Now to the second part: injustice. I honestly can’t stand it. Whether it’s in school, at work, on the street, or even online, I hate seeing people being treated unfairly. It triggers something inside me. I believe everyone deserves to be treated with respect, regardless of their background, gender, or status. The truth is, many people keep quiet when they see injustice, especially when it doesn’t affect them directly. But that’s not me. I speak up. Even if my voice shakes, I still try.
I’ve lost a few friends because I stood for what was right. And that’s okay. I would rather lose people than lose my conscience. It might not always be easy, and it sometimes makes me unpopular, but I’d rather be real than pretend like I don’t see what’s wrong.
Some people say I take things too personally, but when you’ve seen how injustice can destroy someone’s future or confidence, you can’t just keep quiet. I’ve seen people cry silently because they were treated unfairly, and I’ve seen others smile because someone stood up for them. That smile is worth more than gold to me.
In a world where many people are losing their values, I choose to hold on to mine. I don’t claim to be perfect, but when it comes to my family and justice, I don’t compromise. These are the two things I will always stand for, no matter the cost. They’re not just my principles they’re part of who I am. And that, for me, is non-negotiable.
Family are always great motivator. They are always the only people that will always stay behind in that of trouble. I understand how you feel , same with my mother , after God she is strength
