Convenience and ease that come with it.

I welcome you to my blog. Technology has offered us (the Gen Z generation) so much to the point that if we give it room, we end up becoming very lazy, which has made many parents who think things were different during their time as kids take justice into their hands and try to either limit or completely take away how much convenience their children have access to. Some parents want their kids to suffer the same way they did since they believe that way the kid gets to learn the lessons that will see them through life, but in most cases this only ends up pushing the child into illegal activities as they have to do what they can to survive.

My journey through life has taught me gratitude and appreciation. You might be in a situation or from a family, and then you are wishing you were born into a different family only for kids in the family you are wishing for to wish they had the type of family you have. Appreciate and show gratitude for everything you have.

I have a friend who is from a rich home, and I was wishing I was from a home like that because everyone in the neighborhood knew them, how rich they were, and the number of properties they owned just within the neighborhood was outrageous, and that announced their riches even more, but this friend of mine told me that his father has a tradition of leaving his kids to fend for themselves in school once they get to 200 Level. He does not care how you would do it, but he will be waiting for you to call and tell him that you have graduated, and he'd be very happy.

From the moment you get to the 200 level, you are forced to combine academics and working to fend for yourself, not because you don't have someone that can comfortably sponsor you, but because he believes that if he gives his children the convenience and access to an easy life, then they will end up being lazy and not want to work for themselves.

After hearing this, I appreciated the family I was born into more. We don't have it all, but you are allowed access to as much convenience as you want, whether available or not. If you believe you can get it, then go for it. The ease that comes with convenience is something words cannot express, so I wonder why a person will choose not to have it or take it away from another person because you feel it will make them lazy. Why not wait until you see it making them lazy before you decide to take it away?

I do not believe that having the convenience needed to make life easy, as well as easy access to things, can make one lazy unless they decide to be. Everyone wishes for convenience; it does not always have to be a story of starting from the scratch with no help and no easy access to anything.
