Forging Ahead: A Newbie's Journey to Hive Success
While some Hivers have been on the blockchain for quite some time, I have only been on it for about 2 months. If I recall correctly, I joined sometime around August. It might not seem like a long time, but I can still make progress toward my goals here on Hive in two months.
As far as goals go, I have not set any, I'm still trying to figure out how to blog on this blockchain. If I were to honestly describe what prompted me to join the blockchain and how the journey has gone, I would say that it has not been as I had envisioned it to be.
Since my friend informed me of it even before I joined, and I agreed and that equally means that I am ready to work, so I don't want to disappoint myself by falling my own hand.
The process of writing here has not been easy, and to be honest, I lose motivation to keep on writing each time I publish a post and receive no response. As I said earlier, my friend has already given me an understanding of how things work here. You must be consistent and hardworking, just as a diligent person would handle their offline business.
This brings me to my hive goals.
I recently joined Hive and I have set no goals yet, but I plan to get serious with my Hive account from now on and see where I get to within the next six months to one year. During the time that I have been writing, the votes have not been coming in well, so I expect to take a long time to reach 500 HP based on that.
However, here is what I plan to do going forward:
Create and publish good content: I plan on doing that, since I believe it will boost my reputation as an author on the Hive blockchain if I'm known as a good content creator.
Stay Consistent: My goal is to stay consistent no matter what difficulties I face. The best way to do that is to make good content that people would love to read.
Power Up my earnings: For now, I can't tell you how much I earn in a week and it is probably because I have not been active. Since I plan to be active going forward, I am hoping that my content will be appreciated and I will have enough earnings to power up and build my HP. So far, I have learned the importance of having a high HP stake in the blockchain.
Engage with other authors: In addition to having a high stake HP, I have also learned that engagement is key here, so I will do my best to engage with as much people that I can engage with and make myself known.
While I am doing all of this, I will also try to have fun because I need to.
It's not too late for me to do better right?
500HP is not so difficult to reach and with the plans you have in place, i would say you could achieve this in no time, just stay consistent, follow the guidelines and principles and be creative. I would be looking forward to seeing you achieve this goal. Cheers!

It's a very good idea to set some goals for your activity on hive. Especially builing up your Hive Power will really help you down the road!

Everyone started as a newbie as time goes by with determination and consistency our growth became progressive. Just keep doing what is needed to be done on hive and in no time you will be fascinated by how far you have gone.
