Hello friends @hiveghana community, I welcome you to another beautiful week with amazing opportunities. As usual, the topics for the week are exciting and interesting to write about. My focus now is the first one about self kindness because we all fall victim of self doubt and feelings of worthlessness when things don't go as planned so this prompt was a good opportunity for self reflection for me.

Last year was a tough year for me as almost everything didn't go as planned. I didn't meet up with a lot of goals, the economy too wasn't favorable as high cost of living affected a number of things and then crypto happened with the big crash that resulted in huge losses for many of us. I wasn't in my best mood, I felt like I couldn't do anything right, and then it ended in blame games, moody days that prolonged into weeks and then isolation.
It's definitely an unpleasant situation that no one should be in, and because of the feeling of failure, we lose track of time, people, and moments. We become so self-centered that we don't see the blessings that come our way daily. I knew I had to snap out, put myself together, and enjoy every moment with those who truly love and care about me.
The following steps helped me to be kinder to myself
Accepting reality and limitations. First of all, I have to accept that plans don't always go accordingly. Life happens, and things can go sour, but we shouldn't lose ourselves in the process. We should still find joy and keep moving strong.
Good company. Having good company or association is very important because those friends can be the support system we need when we are in our lowest moments. They can help us keep calm and help us work at a solution.
Appreciation. We want to be more appreciative and thankful for the little achievements we have and the people who helped us achieve them. When we are more appreciative, there will be rooms for more achievements.
Finally we need to give ourselves a break sometimes. It's necessary to take a pause. We aren't in a race or competition with anyone. We want to take life slowly and be kinder to ourselves, enjoy every moments with gratitude, patience and cheerfulness. Life is beautiful when we take it slowly, one step at a time!
