When the Money Comes

As humans, there's one desire or the other, or even many of them that we have and are hoping in some way to get to achieve those desires. The big deal is that most of such desires; which are mainly needs and wants, are dependent on money, in many cases. With this realisation, nobody needs to be told of the need to engage in one labour, one work or another to satisfy our desires.

The thing about this is that, the money seems not to be forthcoming, or maybe not sufficiently at least. Nevertheless, we keep on going out and engaging in our various works, business, skills, with the hope that something works out well from these efforts we are making, that we may cater for our needs and wants that we have in mind.

Consistently, we engage in these labours, even if the rewards at the end don't seem encouraging. That's one beautiful thing about the human spirit for me, the zealous and ever resilient quality; the ability to say no, and keep on going. Besides, if you don't go out and fend for yourself, who will do it for you? At least that has been the narrative in this part of the world.

It hasn't always been easy. But (as the prompt suggests) let it be that the prayers are answered and one is blessed with that amount of money to provide and meet their needs and desires, what would be the first thing to do or go for? As humans exist in diversity, so will the choices be. What would be the first thing I'll be putting that money to?

Wrapping my head around this, I was finding it quite not easy picking just one thing as the first thing to do. There are many dreams and desires, but yes, one has to be done first. It's on this note then that I'll say that the possible first thing that money would be put to would be into a way of saying thank you to my family and loved ones.

Yes, that. I've lived my life and seen the sacrifices of these people in my life, my parents especially, and I know that as much as they've been a blessing to me, I'll love to do well to repay them as much as I can. Though it wouldn't be enough still. It's certainly one of the things or gestures that I believe matter in life.

To be able to look back and see how far the journey of life has come to this point for me, what I see is the support of good and wonderful people who shouldn't go without some great rewards. And so, it will be one of the first things, if not the first I will be found doing with such money. What are their needs and their wants, those things they desired to do or get but couldn't get for the sake of sacrifice for me?

Not to forget my siblings, and other loved ones that such money could help with one need or the other. All these and not you? Well, it's the joy in life I guess; considering the necessary people as much as you do yourself. The list will be long when that money comes, but let me leave it at this. Hopefully, it will come soon, because there are many desires to meet. Haha.
