Being healthy is the way to be wealthy. Yes. Or haven't you heard that โhealth is wealth?โ Not just hearing about it, but it's evident. You could struggle for all good reasons to make some money, but the moment a bacterial infection sets in, the one thing you will be desiring is good health. Such is the reality.
While health is very important, we don't often see it so. Eyes are always on the prize; and that prize is the daily hustle, trying to catch deals and just make the money. Sometimes, that money ends up getting spent on health treatment all because health wasn't well factored into the daily or long-term equation. Perhaps, if it were, sanitation and hygiene would be part of the equation.
Hygiene and sanitation are necessary steps to take to ensure or see that good health is enjoyed and maintained. They go from the simple act of cleaning the necessary things indoors, from our bodies to the more involved acts in the outside environment. In any case, sanitation is necessary to keep bacterial infection minimal.
We'll always go around and touch things, whether knowingly or unknowingly. One of my sanitation routines is to ensure I wash my hands as much as possible. It has become a simple effortless act today, that whenever I return from somewhere, I go straight to the toilet first and wash my hands before doing anything. Sometimes, even without going out, I tend to do this. Sanitation is first to my body, that's what I consider necessary to share.
Beyond just washing my hands and keeping my body clean, of course through regular and daily bathing, my closest environment which is my room is my next point of sanitation. This extends to my toilet which I do well to wash as much as possible. I sweep the room constantly, almost every morning and then wash the dishes and clothes when needed.
You'll agree with me that when you do such clean-ups, almost consistently if not, there's dirt that will need to be disposed of. We happen to have a container for such in my compound where we dispose of dirt and then throw out when it's filled. That way, we don't have the place loitered with dirt, which could be just what the bacteria need to move into our bodies.
One thing I've seen well enough from home is the need to keep beyond my close environment clean, but also the outer surroundings. Basically, we call that sanitation, though it goes beyond that. We were implored to weed the grasses and clean up the environment to prevent the infestation of rodents that could end up causing us harm directly, or in a way to our health.
It's the rainy season, so currently my hygiene or sanitation efforts are mostly around my immediate space. I've observed the presence of some weeds outside the compound that could need some weeding. I've not been able to do it, but sanitation shows it will be needful and necessary to do. Hopefully, I do that.
I think there's a decline in hygiene and sanitation efforts. Thankfully, the sanitation bodies from the state governments do impose compulsory sanitation days which I've seen some persons comply with, using such days to do the sanitation they need to. It's a good effort from the government, but I consider that we ought to take responsibility for our health without being told to.
Images are mine.
Yea, and indeed sanitation should be the responsibilities of everybody.
Amd of a truth, without good health, wealth amounts to nothing.
Thanks for sharing such a wonderful reminder.

This is a good and interesting post about hygiene and sanitation, our health is very important and we have to be taking it seriously interns of keeping things clean.
We have to be very careful of bacteria infection,it always around us,the moment we lose guide our health status to hustling as you said it very bad,now adays people are about making money but don't want to use the money for treatment of the body rather prefer drinking, smoking and doing a lot of harmful things to the body.
The environment we are living also matters, research has make me to understand that people don't do sanitation in their different villages which also contribute to ill health.
So am so happy to read your post line by line, you have posted out good remedies.
Thank you so much for sharing this esucative post.
Thank you. You've indeed understood and shared in what the post was about. We need to seriously take our hygiene and sanitation a priority as much as, perhaps even more than we take hustling.
