Respect, Love And Equity.

I believe in gender equality, but I also grew up with the mindset that a woman should be cared for, she should be protected, and pampered, and honestly, for a long time I used to think that those two ideas did not really go together, but the older I got, the more I realize they actually can exist side by side.

Let me explain it in a very simple way, so you understand what I really mean....

So, Now imagine that you and your friend both have the same toy , just one,, and just because you are a boy and your friend is a girl , that does not mean that you deserve the toy more than she does because you both should be allowed to play with it, right?.... that is fairness, that is equality.

So equality does not mean boys and girls are the same, It just means they are equally important.

Now when I say that I believe that women should be taken care of, so I do not mean that they are weak or that they are incapable being, not at all, truth is that ,women are very strong in some ways that men sometimes are not, but caring for someone is an act of love, and not superiority, now for example, if I open a door for a woman, or buy her food, or want to spoil her with gifts, it is not because she cannot do those things by herself , It is because I just want to, It comes from affection, and not control.

And the truth is that the men also deserve to be cared for too, to be taken care of we just don'ttalk about it enough.

Gender equality is important because life works better when everyone has the opportunities, seriously , If a girl wants to be a doctor she should be allowed to choose that dream for herself, If a boy wants to be a nurse too or to be a stay home dad, to take care of children he took should also be free to do that, nobody should feel limited because of whether they were born male or female.

Think about a team, If half the team is allowed to play the team will probably lose.. If everyone plays and uses their strengths the team will become stronger, Our society is the way, when men and women support each other everyone will benefit.

For me gender equality means respect, it means respecting each others opinions and choices and it means respecting our boundaries and also listening, It means understanding that nobody should feel less important because of their gender.

And honestly, pampering a woman doesn’t cancel equality, in fact, when it is done with respect, it can be part of love, a woman can be independent, successful, strong and still enjoy being treated like a queen sometimes, those things are not opposites.

And at the end of the day gender equality is simple, yes we are different but then value is the same, we are like two hands on the body, one might be stronger one might be gentler. Both male and female needs to live well , I mean we have equal right to a good life

Gender equality and care for women are not opposites they can exist together, I believe in gender equality, i also believe that women should be cared for and protected.
