Who made me love Football and what made me Quit

People who know me now as someone who doesn't like to watch football won't really know that I used to be a lover of football years ago... Right now it doesn't move me anymore, I lost all interest in it and I will be sharing that reason as well in this post.

Forward to the year 2006, I fell in love with football and it was because of no other GOAT but the one and only Ronaldinho! he is still my favorite player till now, though I felt bad that his career ended so fast, he is still the best player for me and if he didn't ruin himself with merry and party, probably he will still be dominating the world of football...

I remember I was still in junior secondary school that year and if a book cover is not the picture of Ronaldinho or Thierry Henry, I won't buy it... Yeah, the same Thierry Henry who played for Arsenal that year, I love him for his speed and Ronaldinho for his dribbling skills and crazy passes.

My best country back then was Brazil even though I was a Nigerian lol... The reason was obvious, Ronaldinho was there! and some other top players, the likes of Ronaldo De Lima, R.carlos, Robinho, Adriano, Kaka, and their defenders, I have started playing Play station too and yea they were also my favorite team cos they built them so strong as they were in real life soccer.

I was also interested in the World Cup to watch my favorite players play and from there I started to watch the Premier League and UEFA Champions League too.

What was the reason behind my losing interest in watching football?

In 2008, Chelsea and Man United competed in a final, I think it was the UEFA Champions League, and Chelsea lost to Man United through a penalty, I felt so sad that night because I was rooting for Chelsea... I lost my appetite for food and I slept hungrily, That was the end of my passion for Football because, before that time, I noticed I always felt miserable when my team didn't win, I just didn't get why I used to feel so sad because they didn't win, it was affecting me and I knew I had to let go before I hurt myself and that 2008 was when it finally happened and I quit everything involving watching football and yea till now, I don't watch football anymore.

In those years, I loved playing football, I could play football all day without getting tired, some of us even wanted to pursue a football career but Nigeria is a messed up country and a dream killer, I knew this earlier and gave up fast on that but my best friend pursued it until 2016 I think, It was when he realized that he was wasting his time that he found another passion and he is now into photography and videography.

My Saddest moment in football was that 2008 final between Chelsea and Man United and that was the end of my passion for football.
