Having someone who is always ready to help us is a blessing

While growing up, I had difficulties accepting help from people who were not my family, even when I was badly in need of the help, when offered to me, I would still reject it... My heart wants it, but somehow I find myself saying no when people offer to help.

One day, I helped a woman in my community carry her load. When we got to her house, she offered me some money as a gift, but I said she should not worry, even though I was very hungry that day and I needed money so bad to eat... Luckily, she forced me to take the money, and my heart prayed for her.

Another day, my parents travelled and I lost my money, I already know there is nothing for me to eat until they are back, I went to one of my friend's house and his mum was cooking beans, when she saw me, she asked of my mum and I told her she travelled, when the food was done, she didn't ask me if I was hungry, she said go home and bring a plate so I can give you beans, you need to see how excited I was on that day, I was happy she did not ask me if I would eat because my answer would have been no.

Where did I learn this No from? Who taught me to always say No even when I needed what is being offered to me badly? My mum taught me not to collect things from strangers, but I have taken it to the extreme even with my friends; she didn't teach me that, I think it is just my personality.

I have a close friend back then who studied me and realized I always turn down everything he offers me, like when we are going out or walking together and he bought stuff and ask me if I want too, I will say No, so at a point he understand my predicament and stop asking me, he just buy mine too lol.

Nowadays, I still find it difficult to ask people for help because I do not want to burden anyone with my problem, and secondly I do not like rejections, it is hard for me to ask for help but not getting the help is another heart break on its own, so I rather die in silence with my problem than shame myself. We all have what we are facing... When I am down, I just disappear and reappear when I feel good again...Only in solitude can I find the comfort I desire.

We are in a world that we can't do everything on our own, and sometimes we will need the help of others, especially financial help... I needed help and the first person that crossed my mind was quduus1, I entered his dm comfortably and within a few minutes, I got the fund I needed from him... It is good to have people like him in our lives who are always ready to help us when we need help.
