It really seems that some things have been happening at my mother's house over the past few days. It hasn't even been a week since I posted about another visitor, the visit of a toucan, and now we have a small monkey there, which we call a marmoset.
Although it is a relatively common species of monkey, it is wild and quite distrustful. It lives in the forests around the area and, every now and then, we see some families wandering around places where they shouldn't be. This time, it was one of them that decided to pay my mother a visit. In the post A Toucan in the Backyard, I mentioned the banana tree my mother had planted, which attracted the toucan. Well, how could it not attract a monkey too?
She told me that she got quite a scare before remembering to take her phone out of her pocket to take some pictures. She noticed that something was watching her and, almost stealthily, the marmoset hid itself. But she was clever, as she herself said, and managed to take these pictures before it disappeared. Afterwards, she sent me the images to show that she is not alone there. Well, now, besides having a toucan to have coffee with in the afternoons, she can invite the marmoset family over for lunch one of these days haha
I am really enjoying this idea of new animals appearing there. It means that it is a healthy place in terms of nature and preservation. That is why I love my small hometown so much. Soon, perhaps in a few years, I may move back there. I really miss it.

No post A Toucan in the Backyard, eu mencionei a bananeira que minha mãe havia plantado e que atraÃa o tucano.
Eu realmente sinto falta disso.
