THE UNEXPECTED ENCOUNTER WITH MY FAVOURITE POPULAR CELEBRITY BAKER.
It's not a dream; this has to be real. I missed you the first time I had the opportunity to take a picture with you. Now I'm not only going to take a photograph, but you're here to celebrate with me.
Oh! Winanda!
While I thought about how my birthday would pan out this year, whenever I plan to make it a small celebration, it ends up becoming a big celebration, more than I expected. I struggled with the thought of tasting a celebrity baker's cake. You won't understand.
Anyway, the universe has a way of making dreams become a reality.
As days drew closer, I kept to the plans of having the in-house celebration and, unknown to me, others had plans.
Somehow, I was discouraged from baking a big cake for myself to a medium-sized naked cake; without my notice, a bigger cake was in transit with the baker. Who was this special baker?
I felt good, of course, we do feel good on birthdays, don't we? Hahaha
"Winanda, we got you, don't stress yourself," one of my sisters said.
I heard the music play as I was in my room, my sisters were dressing me up like a bride and I was like, "Wait o, you guys are dressing me up like it's my wedding day," and they laughed and said, "We know it's your birthday but a special one, trust us."
Well, it's truly a special birthday. I was all dressed up, looking gorgeous for my day, woohoo!
Family members and friends arrived from their various locations.
I was told not to bring out my naked birthday cake yet (I love it plain most times, to enjoy the flavour and yumminess of the cake), that the time would come for it.
I suspected something unexpected would happen, but I didn't let it occupy my mind because I was out to enjoy my day with family and friends.
The party started with a balloon-popping game. The balloons had my wishes in them, but there was the biggest of them all, which had my biggest wish, unknown to me, to make my day.
The biggest balloon was placed where it would be popped last. I was told to hold the wish it had in my hand after it was popped.
Where Is The Celebrant's Cake?
It was time to reveal my naked cake, or maybe something bigger, which I must bring. I left the sitting room to get it from the kitchen, and on arrival, I was shocked to see a 2-tier, well-decorated birthday cake waiting for me.
My goodness! How did you do this? Who brought this beautiful floral cake? What?...
I kept asking, and before I knew it, the door opened and I saw my favourite popular celebrity baker, "BUDDY VALASTRO", also known as "THE CAKE BOSS".
I froze and couldn't believe it. I thought I was dreaming. I could not scream in excitement, nor could tears of joy roll down my cheeks.
At this point, my thought was the quote that began this blog.
How could this even be possible? Still astonished, one of my sisters came to get my naked cake from me. Of course, we would still eat it along with my cake from Buddy Valastro.
He stretched out his arms to give me warm hugs, and as I hugged him, my younger sister tapped me on my shoulder. There came a halt in my thoughts, and my mind was reset.
Back To Reality
Winanda, wake up! Yeah, she's awake, but she won't give up. She missed snapping with Buddy Valastro in 2019 when he visited Lagos, Nigeria, for Uncut Learning 2 (a baker's seminar). She hopes to have another opportunity to have a birthday cake from him or the privilege to decorate a cake with him in the future. Wild right?
Again, the universe has a way of making dreams a reality.
Cause I'm hopeful, yes I am, hopeful for... (sing along if you remember the song by Twista ft. Faith Evans). 😉
We are in the Leo season and my birthday is coming up on the 2nd of August, I'm a true Leo lady. 🦁

Hahaha,, I thought it was real oo until I read to the end. That would have been an amazing moment for you if it were to happen in reality but I hope it does someday so you could take lots of pictures with your favourite celebrity.

Oh, such experience would light up my day, it would be an unforgettable memory.
