Life is Once

It's funny how we want to be in a space with people who don't value us, or respect us both in our present or absent. It's funny that we accept to accommodate people who don't treasure our time and find us exciting, it's funny how we wait on people expecting them to accept us for who we are and begging them to see us the way we are.

Meanwhile, we are expected to live once, life is once so why do we enjoy spending it with people who don't value our persons, people who don't care about us? We remain in the space and environment with people who don't care about us and don't value us, we are always at their feet graveling for their attention, at their beck and call, and doing all that it takes to please them.

We deny ourselves of the life we need and wish for, we suppress our feelings and needs to fulfill theirs, we forget ourselves in the process and end up being a shadow of ourselves, and end up wasting years.

Life is once, so don’t spend it with people who don’t value your person. Don't let anyone stop you from living at least not because you are trying to prove to them about your person.

Life is fun, life is beautiful, and life is all the positive things that we need it to be but this can only happen with the people who value and respect our person. It is not supposed to be hard but we make it hard when we decide to stick with people who don't welcome us and end up frustrated and depressed when we spend all our lives living miserable and trying to make them see and value our worth.

Live life on your own terms and not please anyone because you might end up regretting it when you realize how you've wasted your years answering and living your life on the terms of another person who does not give a hoot about who you are or whether you exist.

Life is once, so don't waste it on people who don't care about you and those who don't respect and value you, don't stay in the same space and environment with such people, they don't deserve you and you on the other hand deserve more, so go for it.
