Explaining How to Get Started in Moon Karts

After investing in Splinterlands and Stakehouse Den, my next investment is Moon Karts.

In this post, I'll show you my initial investment in the game so I can start playing it and earn rewards. But first, let's talk a little about the Arcade Colony gaming platform.

Arcade Colony

Arcade Colony is a web-based platform where mainstream games can deploy Web3 features. Newly created games, as well as previously released games, can now add tokens, digital collectibles, trading, renting, earning, and governance to their games. Thus, Arcade Colony hosts a series of published games similar to the Epic Gamestore, Apple App Store, Google Playstore, or Steam, but unlike Web2 publishers, Arcade Colony augments new and existing games with Web3 games.

I recently wrote a post explaining a little about Arcade Colony, you can read the post Showing the Arcade Colony Platform for more information.

Remember, this isn't an investment tip, so before investing in any of the games I'll mention, do your research first.

My initial investment in Moon Karts will be simple because I want to test how the game works first so I can improve and make more efficient investments in the future, so I'll start with just the basics.

To get items in Moon Karts, I have two options:

  • Buy and Open Centauri packs.
  • Buy the items on the market.

Centauri packs are currently sold out, so the only way to buy them is through the Hive Engine, and their lowest price is 20 Swap.Hive. So I decided to buy the items on the market because this way I won't have to rely on luck and can get everything I need for less.

Let's take a look at the items I bought to get started in Moon Karts.

These are all the items I bought, now let's take a look at how much I spent to get them all.

  • Astro Kart = $0.30 or 1.1 SCRIPT.
  • Blaze = $0.19 or 0.69 SCRIPT.
  • Grip Ease = $0.10 or 0.36 SCRIPT.
  • Flexedge = $0.10 or 0.36 SCRIPT.
  • Smooth Pulse = $0.10 or 0.36 SCRIPT.
  • Gear Adjustment = $0.17 or 0.62 SCRIPT.
  • Engine Refinement = $0.19 or 0.69 SCRIPT.
  • Body Reinforcement = $0.15 or 0.55 SCRIPT.
  • Tire Alignment - $0.25 or 0.91 SCRIPT.

My total investment was $1.55, which is equivalent to 5.96 SCRIPT.

This isn't my final investment in the game; it's just for me to test how it works and get a better understanding of the rewards I can receive and what I need to upgrade to improve my performance.

After purchasing all these items, I already have enough to equip my character for races.

This was the result after equipping all the items I purchased.

Before I start participating in the races that will give me rewards, I need to make one more investment: getting fuel, and for that, I'll need to have cards in Stake.

With my current item combination, I need 7.7 Fuel to start the race. This amount will be higher depending on the items I have equipped, so when I make a larger investment in equipment, I need to consider this and have a good strategy to get a good amount of fuel.

My next post will be showing my strategy for getting fuel and my first rewards with this investment.
