Expanding My Foundation Card Collection
I'm playing the Wild and Frontier formats in Splinterlands, but now that the Survival format is back, I'm going to start playing it too, mainly because now the cards defeated in the Survival format don't affect the other formats.
In this post I'll expand my Foundation card collection by opening Foundation packs.
In my posts I like to talk about Arcade Colony, so let's learn a little about this game platform.
Arcade Colony
Arcade Colony is a web-based platform where mainstream games can deploy Web3 features. Newly created games, as well as previously released games, can now add tokens, digital collectibles, trading, renting, earning, and governance to their games. Thus, Arcade Colony hosts a series of published games similar to the Epic Games Store, Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or Steam, but unlike Web2 publishers, Arcade Colony augments new and existing games with Web3 features.

My favorites are Splinterlands and Moon Karts because in my opinion they are the most profitable and fun.
Remember that this is not an investment tip.
Let's go back to Splinterlands and show you the packs I'm going to open.
To buy Foundation packs in Splinterlands you just need to go to the SHOP option and then to CARD PACKS.
After choosing Card Packs you will be directed to a page that shows all the Card Packs in Splinterlands, then choose FOUNDATION.
To buy packs in Splinterlands you have the option to pay with DEC or Credits.
Foundation packs are currently the cheapest and you can buy them for $0.07 which is equivalent to 125 DEC or 69 Credits.
I'm going to choose the option to pay with DEC and buy 3 packs.
In total I spent 377 DEC on the 3 packs and now let's see the result by opening them.
To open the packs you need to go to the OPEN option in Splinterlands, in this option you will be able to open any pack you have in the game.
Each Foundation pack gives 5 random cards, with at least 1 of rare rarity or higher.
Use Alchemy potions and Legendary potions when opening the packs.
The Alchemy potion increases the chances of getting Gold Foil cards in the pack.
The Legendary potion increases the chances of getting Legendary cards.
In total I will receive 15 cards so let's see which ones I got.
My luck in getting Legendary or Gold Foil cards is terrible, but I got some great cards, especially the summoner Marlai Singariel which I use very frequently.
My goal is to evolve all Foundation cards to the maximum level.
