With love, Ella

Tim had just gotten out of a relationship. The break up shook him so bad. It's been a month but it still felt fresh to him. Tim was sure he wasn't ready for love again.

It was February 14th, Valentine's day. It would have been a special day for him if he was still in a relationship, but now, valentine's day was just like every other day for him.

Tim went to work that day. He worked at a pharmacy. Suddenly, a young lady walked in. She had a certain glow about her. Her smile was divine. She was the most beautiful lady Tim had seen in a while, and for some seconds, Tim looked stunned.

"Hi, I bought this cream here yesterday and when I got home, I discovered it had expired" she said.

Her voice was soft and calm, it made Tim feel at ease.

"I'm so sorry about that. Let me replace it for you" Tim replied.

Tim checked and saw that that particular product was finished.

"I'm sorry ma'am. We've run out of this particular cream but here's another one that does the same job. I'm certain you would love it." Tim said, offering her another cream.

"Are you sure? I wouldn't want to regret getting this one" she said.

"I can assure you that you won't" Tim replied.

"Can I have your number? So I can contact you just in case I don't like this cream" she asked

"Sure" Tim replied as he put his number in her phone.

Tim watched as she walked out of the pharmacy. She had a charisma about her that just fascinated him.

Later at night, while Tim was at home. He got a text.

"Hi Tim. This is Ella. The one you gave a new cream today. Just wanted to tell you that I really liked the cream"

On reading it, he smiled.

That was the beginning of communication between the both of them. They got to know more about each other. They told each other their story, and within the next few weeks, they were talking late into the night.

They got really close. Tim got to realize that Ella was a rare and special kind of person. She was genuinely caring. She cared about Tim a lot and he could tell. Sometimes she would take him out, sometimes she would cook for him. She regularly tried to make sure he was okay.

Tim realized that he cared about her a lot too. He saw himself thinking about Ella all the time. At random moments during work, he would just smile. His colleague at work would catch him smiling randomly and tease him.
Ella's face would glow every time Tim's notification popped up on her phone or whenever he called. He gave her butterflies.

The same thing was happening to Tim. They were two people falling in love. One afternoon, Tim and his coworker, John, were talking.
"Bro, I can see you like this girl. You glow up every time you see her or hear her voice. Why don't you ask her out already?" John said.
Tim thought about it. He wasn't sure if he was ready to date someone again. He knew how much he was hurt the last time. He didn't want to go through that hurt again, but on the other hand, he had strong feelings for Ella and he didn't want to let her slip.

She made him happy. She was his source of joy. He thought to himself
"Why do I keep pushing away my happiness because of my fear of being hurt?".
There and then, Tim decided that he was going to ask Ella to be his girlfriend.
He took his phone and gave her a call

"Hi dear, what's up?" Ella said as she picked
"I want to ask if you would like to go out for dinner with me tonight" Tim said.
"Sure. I will." Ella said without even the slightest hesitation.

That night, Tim was at the restaurant waiting for Ella to arrive. When she arrived, she looked so beautiful, Tim's heart melted. She sat and they began talking.

After a while, Tim gathered the courage to say what he wanted to say.

"I have feelings for you Ella. For a while, I was scared of being hurt but I want to take a bold step. You're everything I want in a woman. You make me happy in ways I never imagined. Will you be my girlfriend?" Tim said

Ella just sat there smiling and looking at him. It was as if she was savoring that moment.

"So you want me this much?" She asked with a flirty look on her face.
"Yes I do" Tim replied.
"In that case, yes, I will be your girlfriend" Ella replied.

That was the start of a very loving, successful relationship. They were more like best friends in love. Within a year, they got married and started a lovely family.
