Personally I feel that a person does not need to drink alcohol to have a good time in a social setting. One can enjoy social interactions and gatherings without alcohol consumption. There are numerous factors that contribute to a fulfilling social experience, and alcohol is just one element among many.
Firstly, I personally don’t drink. But I have tasted a bit of alcohol here and there occasionally as I tend to work for some alcohol related companies and clients. But I always felt that being surrounded by friends, engaging in interesting conversations, and participating in shared activities can create memorable and enjoyable experiences. The atmosphere and ambiance of the social setting can also contribute to the enjoyment. Whether it's a lively party, a cozy dinner gathering, or a fun outdoor activity, the environment itself can enhance the social experience.
I feel not everyone enjoys the effects of alcohol or wishes to consume it. For me it's all about playing games, enjoying good food, dancing, or exploring shared interests, amazing food, there are countless ways to have good fun. I personally don’t drink because I feel that non-drinking can lead to clearer communication, better decision-making, and a safer overall experience.
In some events alcohol is a prerequisite for having a good time but some true enjoyment comes from genuine connections and remembering the present moment. I often have seen people who have absolutely zero idea of what happened once they got drunk.
So yeah, not a big fan of drinking and so I feel a person doesn’t need to drink alcohol to have a good time in a social setting!
You are right! It is necessary to drink alcohol at a social gathering just to feel among others.
People do things for different reasons, and excess of everything is bad.
I also don't like alcohol.
Nice.. And yes, "Excess" of everything and anything can be bad!!
