I have visited very few places in southern Beijing, as I am living in the northern region of the city, and it takes more than 2 hours to cross the center and so most of the time I have been to the northern region, even in the most popular 2, 3, 4, or 5 circular roads. And I have found that the northern section of the city is the new extended version of the city while the old areas of the Beijing is the southern section that is also less developed in some aspects, though I am not have enough experience to draw such lines but I will explore the southern area according to my plan. And hopefully after that I could be able to draw my opinion like that.
My plan was to visit the Longtan Lake park in the southern part of the city centre, which is so far from my living district, Huairou. I thought I could have 2-hour visits to the park according to my plan of transportation routes accroding to the map I use here. But unfortuantely the traffic was heavy due to weekend and the day was very clean and warm for explration. So I was quite late and I found the exact route was more problematic with bus so I chose the subway that was not located at the proper position to complete my exploration. So, I have a beautiful wal around the old city area by the two rivers known as Tonghui River and the Nanhucheng River according to the map as I am not so goof to learn the name from the Chinese people.

It was a beautiful afternoon and the sky was clear though not so clear as I found in the Huairou city you can see in the photos that are horizontal with tow column when it was noon kust before starting my journey. But I found the old city area quite silent than the northern Beijing where more people and more gathering and many touris spots are built there. You can check that the souther part is full of more residential areas than the northern part in the centre of the Beijing city. But the density of people is more in the southrn section I feel after watching the map. Also, northern section is more tourist-based area costing more than the soutehrn according to my friends experience living in the region.
The nature and the residential building made the riverside a great place to live in a peaceful environment. But I saw very few people walking along the beautiful street at the late afternoon which seems to be not normal if I compare with the northern area of the city according to my experience. I enjoyed the walking and the number of traffic was also very low in the area I have walked. Maybe I have walked in the less popular area of the city so let me explore more to have the more clear picture of the facts there in the southern section of the Beijing Municipality in the coming days.

I hope you have enjoyed my weekend experience in the southern section of the Beijing city centre and the beautiful scenic views that I ahev taken while I was roaming around this scenic area of the city. The clean air and the beautiful sky of the afternon make the views attractive to enjoy such beautiful winter afetrnoon. If you have any queries, let me know in the comments, and I will try my best to answer them according to my knowledge.
Thanks a lot for your time and attention. I will catch up with you at the next one. Wish you a great day!
All of these photos are my own property, and they have been shot by me.

It would be nice to walk or jog near the riverside. Peaceful and fresh
Yeah, it is always soothing near the riverside area. Thanks for stopping by!
Dear @tanzil2024 !
Hassan!
Those who study Chinese history like me remember that the northern part of Beijing was where the kings and nobles lived!
Since ancient times, the Chinese have distinguished between areas where kings and nobles lived and areas where commoners lived.
So, The northern part of Beijing was home to the ruling class and the wealthy, while the southern part was home to the poor and common people.
I remember that in Dhaka, Bangladesh, there were also separate areas for rich and poor people!
I always admire your remarkable ability to discover hidden facts!😃
Don no batt!
Oh, I see! I never knew this fact; my exploration is then right. Thanks for your insightful comment with such interesting facts. That's why I found all the remarkable things in the northern Beijing than the southern part of the city, but still I have to explore a lot in the southern part as I have not been there so many times, except the Daxing International Airport, which is almost at the end of Beijing in the southern part.
For Dhaka, previously, the old Dhaka was for the businessmen who made them richer than the other parts, but now old Dhaka is not like that, with much crowdiness, with a dirty environment, with dense and old buildings. The new Dhaka is much more gorgeous, where a mix of people live now. Only the richest part of the City is the Gulshan-Banani Region, where you can find the best modern iconic view of the city, and it is also the most expensive part of the city.
Thanks again for your kind, informative comment.

At first glance, what I perceive is the balance between the city, green spaces, nature, and also the organization of the city. That's what your photos convey to me, excellent shots, what a beautiful journey.
