Since moro is a little subdistrict, you won't find many public transportation here, only some auto ricksaw which called "becak motor" in local language that is operating on this area. There is not many cars as well on this area, i think it's countable as the cars are only for ambulance, cargo pick-up, and some organization cars. You won't find big hotel as well, just some inn but they still got the air conditioner :)
My new place is not far from the jetty. Located beside my office, we could reach my place in less than 3 minutes with motorcycle from the jetty.
Moro is a quiet place, there is no cinema and mall/ shopping centre, only local shops are available here to provide our daily needs, and sometimes it's hard to find the fresh vegetables because it's come from other island once a week or 10 days (based on the seller description in the traditional market). But i loves this place because i feel more relaxed here, beside there is less working pressure, the people is friendly as well. Feels like those harvest moon set place 😊
To spend our 1st weekend, Me and my Wife decide to take a walk because the road is relatively quiet than big City in Indonesia that is having lots of vehicles and their pollution so i think the Moro's air is healthier. We walk around 1,3 km from my house into the local shop to buy some goods, but before shopping, we decide to stop in a landmark named Pantai Moro which is translated as Moro's Beach to get a little rest and some picture.
We also stopped at small stalls to get some breakfast. We decide to get some Satay there (it's not common for us to eat Satay in the morning because it used to served for Dinner, but it looks delicious and we already hungry 😂). The price is cheap, just Rp. 10,000 (around 0.65 USD) for each portion of satay which contains ketupat (rice cake packed inside a diamond-shaped container of woven palm leaf pouch) and 4 skewers of meat satay, it's not much, but worth the price, and we feel enough of it. There is 2 kind of sauce you can choose, the padang sauce which called kuah tepung (flour sauce) here, that taste a bit spicy, and there is a peanut sauce that taste a bit sweet (i love it)
After we got our breakfast done, we decide to shop for some items, such as cleaning tools to get our new house clean. We get back by the ricksaw (because we carry lot of stuff), and paid around Rp. 30,0000 (around 2 USD) for it.
Next we decide to spend our time to clean some part of the house. Our main focus is to clean the window on our bedroom, because our children would have more contact with it, and the condition is seems like the windows haven't cleaned for years 😅 , and we tried to get our 3 years old son, Ahnaf, to help us as well, and he loves to spray the windows just like he loves spraying the shirt if we ironing. And it's a good activity for our son, for his motoric development, and for his sensibility to help people, especially his family 😉
