Taking Responsibility For My Life: A Hard Lesson Learnt

Hello, beautiful people! Welcome to my blog. It's a pleasure to have you in this space. Once again, welcome πŸ€—

I am a strong believer that taking responsibility for one's life is very crucial and essential for one's personal growth and working towards achieving a better outcome. It means that sometimes we make tough decisions and also learn from our mistakes.

Sometimes last year I found myself in a situation that taught me a valuable lesson. Around June last year, my dad called me to tell me about a business deal his cousin was proposing, and the whole thing sounded promising, and the profit was going to be massive. When I asked my dad if he was certain about the whole thing, he assured me that he trusted his cousin.

Without doing my own findings, I decided to use the funds my husband and I had been saving up for a particular project, and I assured him I was going to replace the money back, but unfortunately things didn't go as planned.

A few months later, I started to suspect something was off when my uncle kept calling to request more money and giving fake excuses for delays. My intuition kept telling me everything was not right with the business deal, but I ignored my instincts and relied on my dad's judgment and trust in his cousin.

The outing was devastating; we later found out that it was all a scam from the beginning, as there was never a business deal. We lost all our money. The whole situation made me angry and disappointed in myself. I learned a hard lesson from the whole situation: the importance of taking responsibility for my decisions and actions.

Moving forward I have decided to make a conscious effort to take full responsibility for my life. The whole situation has made me become even more cautious and diligent in my decision-making.

How strong a scam coming directly from a person we trust, well in this case, your father trusted.

The β€œbusinesses” that promise high returns by magic are surely scams, you have to be cautious with that.

Yea I am more cautious now. Thank you

In monetary matters you must be very cautious, I have learned the hard way, because I was also trusting and lost a lot of money, I also believe that there are lessons that must be learned firsthand to experience the loss of the value of our efforts and begin to value them better...

Your uncle should not have listed you into the business knowing fully well tht it was scam. He is supposed to be your protective family member right?
But this is what happens in life. Family members scamming each other out of their hard earned money. So sad

0E-8 BEE

He never thought of us as a family, he only saw us as a source he can get money from. That's just so sad
