If I got this prompt question some months back, I'd have shared that I prefer sweet foods because of how much I loved them then. It took a lot to understand that I wasn't helping myself with the too much sugar intake. But it's a lot better now.
Honestly, I checked the meaning of savoury to be sure if I prefer my foods that way. I think I haven't really bothered to know what savour means but I'm glad I learned that today and in that wise, I do prefer my meals to be savoury/spicy, not sweet.
I know this because my favourite meals says a lot about it. I do enjoy our native soups that can not taste good enough without enough spicing. I think I always want my meals that go through heat to be spicy or have some good spices in it.

I recently had this meal, it's one I added too much hot spice that I had to eat it with fruits for balance. As much as I love my meals with spices, I don't like too much of it because it takes out the enjoyment I get from eating. It's weird, I know.

I love the taste of eggs, I love noodles, spaghetti, beans and vegetables!!! They are not sweet but super delicious when I try out recipes on them. The use of spices on beefs for stew, soup or just a meat meal, makes my eating experience nice.
It doesn't mean I don't eat sweet foods at all, but I take them rarely compared to before. Now, I prioritize having my savoury or spicy meals that in fact, are delicious and almost sweet when I have them. I make them taste good with spicing.
I prefer my meals spicy than just sweet. I can take sweets when it's fruits, most of them are sweet and I enjoy them. Aside it, it's spicy for me.
