TIME NEARLY COST ME

I like taking my time to do things, I do not like doing things in a rush and at a point in my relationship this became an issue because my partner always preferred doing things quickly and very fast. Between the both of us, I am the one most likely to miss my flight on a trip, I am the one most likely to reach an event after it has finished because I only move when I feel ready. It is not out of laziness though, but rather because I am an overthinker and if I have not found the solution to something I am deliberating on, I find it difficult to leave it and face what is right in front of me. Although there are other factors that affect my speed, it's just unique to every situation.

Either way I like to take my time, I prefer to be late than sorry, but sometimes, being late can affect the validity or use of what should have been done on time and that is where my partner and I have issues. One time she needed to go for exams and she had told me she needed money to sort out the logistics. It was a really difficult period for me, but I told her I got it all planned out. Truthfully I had it sorted out, but at the last minute I had a choice to use part of the money to solve another issue and I did. I did it because I was still expecting money though, and she was supposed to have gone a day to the exam day.

I pleaded with her to wait and travel early in the morning of the exam day because I knew I would be getting the money that night. I got the money that night from one of my hive payouts, I had the option to swap it to my local currency that night but for some reason I did not do it. Part of the major reason was because I was too tired and did not want to do any transaction with sleepy eyes. I woke up the next morning to do the whole transaction only to discover the network in my local back was bad and there was no other way to fix it. She ended up going, but went late as a result of that and missed the exams. It was a really big issue because it was her final year exam, and to be honest I knew if I had just done it that night, she wouldn’t have missed that exam.
