SURVIVING A TRAGEDY

Some days back I experienced something that made my hair stand on end. Come to think of it, I escaped sudden death because there were a lot of things that could have gone wrong in the process. Since I experienced this incident, I haven’t gone out late for fear of experiencing another one. I am usually a night worker, but in the last two months I have experience d=things at night that have made me weary of going out at night. I remember a lot of times I would get home around 1:00 am, I did it then without fear, but recently, the level of insecurity has become so high that I need to be careful with my movements.

I had left the office at about 8:00 PM and at about 8:30 PM I heard gun shots, The people shooting were right in front of me, at first I thought they were police people trying to intimidate a criminal or anyone at all, or they were trying to make their presence known at they do that a lot here only to look closely and discovered that there were not on uniforms and might not even be police. The second gunshot to the hair made me find a safe spot to hide and watch alongside others when I saw they dragged a man out of his car alongside the driver of the car.

The next thing that happened made me shiver to my bones. \these guys took the drive to a good distance and shouted that the man say his last prayer, after giving him seconds while he was still pleading, two of them began to shoot at him. If I counted right, at least 5 to 6 bullets were wasted on his body even after he fell lifeless on the ground they kept shooting as though to make sure he never comes back. Menh I have never seen such in my entire life, barely two months ago I was robbed at gun point, and now seeing this… They did not take anything, did not harm anyone except those who were beaten up for coming close, they left just after shooting the man, which made me conclude it was an assasination.
