Self-respect and respect for others

It feels like we've lost the plot a bit culturally We tolerate messes but we shouldn't we tend to make excuses as We confuse busy or tired with letting basic standards completely slide, We’ve forgotten that a clean body and a tidy space aren't signs of wealth they're signs of self-respect and respect for others.

There’s another layer too one that feels almost spiritual, which has a more profound connection between our external environment and our internal state the Living in consistent mess and surrounded by dirt and disorder does something to your spirit It weighs you down as It subtly whispers that you don’t deserve better and that chaos is just your lot. Conversely taking charge of your personal space and hygiene regardless of your income bracket is an act of reclaiming dignity It sends a powerful message to yourself and the world I value myself and I respect this space I occupy.
