My 227th Sunday Weekly Hive Goals and Progress Update: 36.6k HP by Midweek, and an Adjusted Strategy Around DBOND-DAB - GaiaYoga Gardens, Lower Puna, Far East Big Island, Hawai'i - Sunday, October 4, 2026

My last Sunday Weekly Hive Goals and Progress Update can be found here. This goals-and-progress post serves as my weekly participation in the We Are Alive Tribe's Monday 'Share Your Goals and Progress' Challenge, and in the SlothBuzz's Slothly Savers Club.

Welcome to my 227th Sunday Weekly Hive Goals and Progress Update! My Hive Power is growing so quickly now that it's becoming more challenging to guesstimate where it will be within a week's time, and that's very much the case this week. I smashed 36,500 Hive Power on Sunday, and I'll very likely hit 36,600 Hive Power by about the middle of this week, which means that I may actually reach 36,700 Hive Power before the end of the week. 37,000 Hive Power is coming quickly indeed.

For quite a while now I've been actively growing DBOND and DAB stake and holdings on my own account, and on now two WAAT (We Are Alive Tribe) accounts, because liquid DAB has been a fairly good source for daily HIVE payouts, and because DBOND is 1:1 backed by HIVE/SWAP.HIVE. Very recently I had the intuition to stake all liquid DAB on all accounts, to grow DBOND as quickly as possible, and the accuracy of my intuition was validated today with the publication of the long-awaited update by Spinvest, in which it was mentioned that DBOND would very likely (75% probability) be brought to a close within the next few months.

Given that DBOND is fully backed by HIVE:SWAP.HIVE, and its derivative token, DAB, is not, it only makes sense to stake all DAB to acquire as much DBOND as possible before these tokens are wrapped up. Currently on my own account I have just over 1,100 DBOND staked, with a little over 700 DBOND staked on @aliveandthriving, which are equivalent to HIVE/SWAP.HIVE. Hopefully by staking all available liquid DAB, I'll be able to pull in a fair bit more DBOND, which when it is brought to an end, would yield a very solid amount of HIVE/SWAP.HIVE.

For the We Are Alive Tribe at least, this will be yet another notable source of HIVE lost, which does not make me happy at all, since we've already lost just about all of our daily and weekly HIVE income as it is, which I've been doing my best to rebuild. At least we'll have a good amount of either HIVE or SWAP.HIVE to reallocate, which I'll do my absolute best to do well.

That's all the notable news that I have to share from this past week, which means that it's time to jump into assessing the numbers from last week, to see how I actually did. Tallyho we go!

Over the past week I gained +222.512 Hive Power, and +0.04 Reputation Points, which means that I've surpassed my first 2026 year-end goal of 25,000 HP by 11,534.867 HP, and that I now have 3,465.133 HP to go to reach my new year-end goal of 40,000 Hive Power. At more than 200 HP gained weekly now, I'm close to 1,000 HP per month, so reaching 40,000 Hive Power before the end of the year is still quite possible.

In terms of my HiveBuzz rankings, I dropped by -1 place for HP, and I hopped up +7 places for Reputation, so a rather mixed-and-mediocre week on the ranking front. Even with how rapidly my Hive Power is growing, I'm still sometimes falling in my HP ranking, which is wild indeed.
