My 218th Sunday Weekly Hive Goals and Progress Update: 34.8k HP Today, and My New Way to Leverage DBOND and DAB - GaiaYoga Gardens, Lower Puna, Far East Big Island, Hawai'i - Sunday, August 2, 2026
My last Sunday Weekly Hive Goals and Progress Update can be found here. This goals-and-progress post serves as my weekly participation in the We Are Alive Tribe's Monday 'Share Your Goals and Progress' Challenge, and in the SlothBuzz's Slothly Savers Club.

Welcome to my 218th Sunday Weekly Hive Goals and Progress Update! I have a few significant bits of news to share from last week, the most notable of which is the fact that I surpassed 34.7k Hive Power with my August HPUD powerup of over 13,793 HIVE. After this substantial boost of over 67%, my HP is now growing quite a bit more quickly than before my powerup, and as of today it's already increased to just above 34,782 Hive Power, and I'll likely hit 34.8k HP today.
As I mentioned that I was planning to do, as soon as I powered up my nice chunk of HIVE, I delegated 10,000 HP more to @dab-vote, to complement a delegation of 610 HP that I already had in place. My first increased payout of DBOND came soon afterward, and it was even more then I was expecting, over 8 DBOND in one payment, each of which is backed 1:1 with HIVE/SWAP.HIVE. Between that, and the other boost that I gave my DBOND income, that I'll explain in a moment, my staked DBOND will easily grow to quite high levels indeed.
Given that DBOND is backed 1:1 with HIVE/SWAP.HIVE, whereas DAB is not, it only makes sense to use an asset that is not backed fully by HIVE/SWAP.HIVE to leverage one that is. With that in mind, I've begun the practice of keeping 50% of my DAB staked, to strongly increase my DBOND income, and half of it in liquid form, to receive the daily HIVE payouts. This allows me to make use of the benefits of liquid DAB, while simultaneously putting me in a very good position if and when the DBOND-DAB-RUG project is brought to a close.
I'll begin implementing this for the We Are Alive Tribe as well at some point, once our weekly HIVE income is back to a reasonable place. In the meantime, I've begun the process of making our significant community accounts as sustainable and self-sufficient in terms of HIVE and ALIVE as I'm able. To these ends, I sent half of the liquid DAB on @aliveandthriving to @aliveandsocial, and I'll continue to do so, so that both of these payout accounts will have a growing HIVE income. I also distributed and staked ALIVEM across various community accounts, to begin to cover the needed ALIVE on each account. Both of these goals, rebuilding our weekly HIVE income to a usable level, and making our community accounts as self-sufficient as possible, will take time, but I'm continuing to work on it every single day.
OK, I think that's about all the more-important news to share for now, which means that it's time to hop into taking a peek at the numbers from last week, to see how I really did. Tallyho we go!

Over the past week I gained +13,967.017 Hive Power, and +0.05 Reputation Points, which means that I've surpassed my 2026 year-end goal of 25,000 HP by 9,752.727 HP. 35k HP will arrive shortly, so I think that I'll set a new year-end goal of 40k HP. I should be gaining about 250 HP per week, and around 1,000 HP per month now, so this is quite doable I believe.
In terms of my HiveBuzz rankings, I made a massive leap up 280 places for HP, and very unfortunately HiveBuzz still isn't pulling in the most recent data again for Reputation, so that remains as it's been for the past 3 weeks. I really appreciate HiveBuzz, but it's been pretty flaky for a while now.
