Goldbacks Debut Currency Symbol
This is something interesting that came to my attention a few days ago.
As you might know I am a goldbacks whore! I just love them 🙃😄 Unfortunately, they are hard to get by outside of USA and as a result my stack is still small :(
Anyways, it looks like two days ago they introduced their official currency symbol:
Here are some quotes from their press release:
This symbol has been thoughtfully designed to reflect the core principles and mission of Goldbacks: an inflation-resistant, hyper-fractionalized gold currency built for everyday use. We can’t wait to see how it becomes part of your Goldback journey!
Every established currency needs a recognizable symbol to make transactions seamless and universally understood. By introducing this symbol, Goldback’s position as a functional currency is strengthened. It simplifies payments, pricing, and bookkeeping, making transactions easier for merchants and consumers alike. A currency symbol also aligns Goldback with other trusted monetary systems.
I put the word "universally" in bold. Maybe they plan to expand their operations out of the USA? They are visiting Germany after all in January next year so that would be nice. Ahh, it's probably just wishful thinking 🙃

There are also some rumors circulating regarding a goldbacks crypto for a few months now. That would be cool too 😎

These genuine beauties should never be confused with a counterfeit pseudo-note categorized as 'Goldfoil' I came across at the local Collectables show. The 'Goldfoil' side by side is no comparison to the Aurum's Goldback.

I have a couple of these. They are really neat but kind of expensive relative to the amount of gold you are getting. Not a bad way to buy really small amounts of gold though.
It's true but premium carries when you resell so does it really matter? 😄 Plus there are plenty of shops accepting them, often giving discounts if you use them :)
