Back from the ashes

Although I have been very active on the blockchain lately, it's been a while since I wrote my last long post on Hive. That's in part due to me spending most of my free time on InLeo threads but also due to other reasons, which I will briefly discuss in this post.

I think it's an excellent opportunity to share some parts of my life with my audience and turn this post into more than just a "hey, I'm back" note.

Without further ado, let's get to it.

Addicted to threads

As I mentioned, I haven't been writing long-form content because I spend most of my free time on Threads (the original Threads, not the Meta one).

A lot is going on there, and more to come. Threadcasts are picking up, so there is no shortage of topics to interact with daily, LeoAI is on the roadmap and there is more and more activity overall, which is enough to keep me busy for the few hours I get to spend on Hive every day.

THORChain and Maya

As much as I love HIVE and everything it entails, I have been expanding my horizons to a few different blockchain projects lately, most notably THORChain and its friendly fork, Maya.

That's mainly due to the recent partnership between Maya and the InLeo team but also because THORChain University was recently launched so it sounded like an excellent opportunity to learn more about this exciting project and get rewarded at the same time.

Spending more time with people I love

I recently lost my grandmother, and that was a rude awakening in my life. At 96, she was already very old and recently got sick, so we were all prepared for that moment, but still, it was a reminder that, sooner or later, the people I loved would be gone, and I was not spending enough time with them.

With that in mind, I decided to spend more time with people who are close to me, make amends with some old friends who, for whatever reason, were not as close as they used to be and even open myself to new relationships, which is something I haven't done in a long time.

Taking care of my health

This is related to the previous point but from my perspective. They say that "death is only painful for the ones who live," and after experiencing that recently, I decided I needed to do my part to try and avoid making others go through the same because of me.

Of course, I can't control all the factors that determine whether I live or die, but there are some things that I have neglected that I can do to turn the odds in my favour. So, I started to eat better, got back in the gym, and am adopting a healthier lifestyle overall.

Self-improvement

Another thing that's taking up part of my time is self-improvement. I realized that, for a long time, I was rolling with the punches, and I felt stuck, so I decided to spend some time improving myself, meaning learning new skills and honing old ones.

Entrepreneurship

Finally, the last thing taking a big chunk of time, and something I cannot discuss at length at the moment, is that I decided to start my own business. It's still very early on, but I'm excited about it, and I think it can lead to something in the future. I'll share more about it when I can.

Final thoughts

I'll keep this one short. I'm back to writing long-form content. I will try to reach some level of consistency, but as you can see, my life is pretty full at the moment—and it feels great.

Sorry for a loss and indeed such experiences make us look to life with different eyes. I appreciate some people from my life so much, that the thought of losing them someday makes me scary. But that's life and we need to push on.
