Adios Saturday Savers, Hello Slothly Savers!

I started my Saturday out in the usual manner, sitting in the backyard enjoying my coffee. It really tasted great this morning, nothing like some great expresso beans to get the day going! I then proceeded to a couple of nearby yard sales to find absolute garbage for sale, alas, no treasures came home with me today... But the excitement of the treasure hunt makes Saturday mornings fun! It's not quite as exciting as finding gold nuggets, but I don't have to drive nearly as far to search!

The Saturday Savers community, sadly, is no more. However, it has been replaced by Slothly Savers. So you can still feel free to share you financial goals here with all of us on a weekly basis just as before! As far as goals go here in the Hive community I really haven't nailed down exactly what I want to do. I think instead of focusing on Hive Power I may focus more on building up an HBD reserve. I'm still kicking ideas around in my head on the subject, and I'll let you all know once I have a plan that I'm happy with pursuing.

Second layer tokens have seen a lot of change in my strategy over the last several months. After the end of the BRO project I've become a lot more gun shy of projects, having been burned by a few others in the past. Some projects I will continue to invest in this year and I have set goals with a couple in particular. Others I will likely also set some goals as we move further into the year and see how Hive is performing.

First off:

PIMP

I have been a big supporter of this project for a couple of years now. It was started by @enginewitty (a very cool cat) and is a great project. It is the only one here on Hive that is backed by physical silver bars and also Bitcoin. Worst case scenario the tokens will always have value backing them up, what more could you ask for?

Right now I have about 69,900 staked PIMP tokens and will try to end the year with 100,000 staked. Very doable! This is the first goal I set on the year...

DUO

While I haven't set a hard goal, I am going to continue accumulating as many of these as I can over the year. It's a project I helped start with @bulliontools and @bitcoinman that provides dividends to staked token holders (some of the richest dividends around), curations on quality posts once you have at least 500 staked. Please note quality is key, garbage posts can't receive curation! We also strive to help onboard more people into the Hive community, especially in emerging markets where there is more interest in the project. It's hard to onboard anyone in the US with a promise of ten cent Hive at the moment.

Other Projects I Like

I continue to support PAKX which supports Hive Pakistan to onboard more members in their country. I continue to hold both DBOND and DAB tokens which are associated with the EDSI project. I also delegate to EDSI to earn tokens weekly. Another project I delegate to is InLeo to earn LEO tokens on a daily basis. I'm always on the lookout for something new and promising, but I have a lot of caution after so many failed projects in this last year or so...

Silver

I always love investing in precious metals, and silver has been on a hot streak as of late. If you've been following any of my silver posts you've seen silver skyrocket past $80 already this year. It's likely headed much higher, $100 wouldn't surprise me in the coming months.

There is a worldwide shortage of the metal at the moment. It is used massively in industries to produce electronics, cars, planes, x-ray film, medications, and jewelry. Right now not enough is being mined and refined to keep up with demand, so prices can only keep going up... Supply and demand at it's finest!

I've bought silver over many years now and won't be stopping any time soon. Although I will be buying much less as prices are much higher. It's a good idea to invest in silver and gold for everyone, not just the rich. So if you haven't started yet, now is the time!
