Purchased 100,000 Colony tokens on TribalDex using the secure login app known as Hive-Keychain

This post assumes you know what Colony Tokens are. About 36 hours ago I created a post detailing my plans to purchase some COLONY tokens. That post was titled Reminder: Claim Your Arcade Colony Rewards. Yes that highlighted title is clickable. It's now time to put that plan into action. First I will go check the live SWAP.HIVE:COLONY market on TribalDex (Powered by Hive-Engine). Looks like a few have been playing in the market. We can see five trades went through yesterday between six different accounts. The ASK price per COLONY currently stands at 0.00082986 Hive per Colony or put another way $0.0000730 USD per COLONY token. The Bid price is as follows: 0.00079001 Hive per Colony token or put another way $0.0000695 USD per Colony token. The Last Sold price at the time of this post creation was 0.00079001 Hive per Colony token / $0.0000695 USD per Colony token. Now lets take a look at the order book.

As we just went over the highest Buy Order is 0.000790 Hive per Colony. The lowest ASK price for the COLONY token is 0.000830. There is slightly over 12 Hive Tokens worth of orders on the BUY side for the COLONY token before a small dip to 0.000701. There is roughly 20 Hive Tokens worth of orders at 0.000701. On the ASK side it doesn't take long for the COLONY token to start climbing in value. Currently there is roughly 205 Hive tokens worth of COLONY up for sale at the 0.000830 price point. Now that we have armed ourselves with that information lets take a look at the cost per COLONY token when using the SWAP feature on TribalDex. Screenshoted below you can see 100,000 Colony tokens currently SWAP for 82.36+ HIVE. That amounts to 1 COLONY = 0.00081369 SWAP.HIVE. So currently the slightly better deal for purchasing COLONY tokens is to do so using SWAPS. Note: mind your slippage.

I am very much tempted to trade for COLONY by going up the ASK side of the live market on TribalDex. However for the time being I think it best I do a SWAP for this initial trade. As I type this out I noticed my SWAP.HIVE balance is just 5.561. That's certainly not enough to complete this 100,000 Colony token SWAP. I'll be back (Did you hear the terminators voice when reading that iconic line?). I'll have to either cancel some purchase orders I have lingering or deposit some HIVE to TribalDex. Both those actions are easily doable on the TribalDex front-end. Alright I'm back. Lets get this party started. Back to the TribalDex SWAP section I go. I enter my purchase details (I double check slippage).

I triple check the values placed in and everything looks as it should. The only thing left to do is the SWAP itself. BOOM I'm now the owner of an additional 100,000 COLONY tokens at the total SWAP value of 81.369 Hive tokens. I used the trusted log in app known as Hive Keychain to get this all done. The image displayed below is one that is very familiar to those of us who utilize Keychain to keep our Hive Keys safe. After I clicked the SWAP icon to trade my SWAP.HIVE for COLONY tokens Keychain sends me a message (pop-up) for confirmation. No key entering needed. Just simply click confirm to complete the trade or cancel if you got cold feet. Rentmoney's feet is nice and toasty so there was no canceling. Only confirmation and an added stack of Colony.

That will do for now but that is no-where near the amount I would like to have. Of course I have some COLONY tucked away and staked on the official Arcade Colony webpage on top of the COLONY I just traded for. I still want more; I don't have enough. I don't imagine I will ever have enough. If you are in the trading away COLONY business; I'm in the trading for COLONY business. Post up your sales on TribalDex as I'm still itching to purchase more. When will I make another purchase (I don't know). Today, tomorrow, next week, next month, five minutes from now (shrugs shoulders). Your guess is as good as mine. Side note: thank goodness for the save post feature. Not sure what I just did but I foolishly swiped my hand across my laptop keys and ended hitting some keys that closed my post window. Came back to find this post still intact and inside the drafts section of my blog (would have sucked if the save feature wasn't available).
