Purchasing SPS with Land Production

Lately there has been a lot of interaction happening within the Splinterlands eco system. It includes Discord, X (Twitter), HIVE blockchain. Twitter has become a legit hub for Splinterlands users to speak much more freely than in any other places. It is fascinating to watch Splinterlands users interacting with one another even outside of HIVE ecosystem. While interacting there are times when it feels like, we all are a close family who are exploring some other places ;)

Splintershards has been getting into a deep phase of correction. In fact, it has been seeing lower lows in terms of price action. Yes, I have been buying SPS on every corner of price action. Although, the quantity that I have been accumulating might not be in plenty but I am getting closer to my goal. Price of SPS today is $0.012. So better find a way out to bag some SPS at this current price. I have been operating my land and so far I have not taken anything out of it.

That being said, I noticed an update which landed on Splinterlands. It did catch be my surprise but it was a much needed one at this point. Conversion of LAND production into DEC. I have been accumulating GRAIN's from the beginning. I have not sold any Grain yet but seems like this is perfect for obtaining some more SPS at this price.

The conversion of grain for DEC, which I initiated gave me close to 1500 DEC. Yeah, this is probably nothing compared to veteran players. But to me, it is 100 SPS closer to my goal. Well, I plan to accumulate more SPS via this process in the coming days.

TRADE HUB has been introduced and so far this has been a very needy tool for LAND builders. In the past, there were other ways to sell the grains in the market. But it has been via p2p within the discord. And it required bargaining's and often lead to delays in buy/sell. But this feature allows players to buy/sell grain/DEC very comfortably.

The process of exchanging resources is quite simple and effective. Unlike in the past you have to put up a sale order in discord and just wait if someone would bid on your price. That phase is long gone. Yes, we need more liquidity in this pair. Although, I believe we will see an increase of liquidity in the coming days.

Steps to complete a Swap

• Visit the LAND page
• Select your choice of resource (DEC-GRAIN or GRAIN-DEC)
• SWAP

and you are done.

Since it is still not yet developed, there are lots of room for improvement. Which indicates the liquidity. The more liquidity we will have the more better the situation will be. This is the current situation of becoming a liquidity provider. Just in case if you want to explore this and get some benefit from it.

If I am being honest, I have not been collecting my grains on a regular basis. As I was not getting a proper incentives to collect them and just accumulate. But as of now there is a chance to acquire some more SPS via my land. Which is an opportunity that I do not want to miss at any cost.
