Leofinance New UI is live for quite some time and though UI is not completed yet and it still has some functionality missing and a lot more need to be added to be branded as a single interface. The team is already aware of it and launched a workable version and it is good in the sense that it allowing the end user to experience it and give feedback to the team. Feedbacks are easier to implement when the software is getting built and it is very hard to change the finished product as change can have dependency on other pieces of code blocks. Anyways this discussion is more on the current state of the UI and what I think our Lions/users like to see in this interface.
The "Home Page" of the UI is very important and it can create a hook so user can leave instantly I think they did a very intelligent job where they put it a resemblance to Twitter UI but customized it for Hive users so the both new and old user will able to connect with it.
As expected "Threads" (same as "Tweet" ) comes in the home page but this UI does focus on "Threads" /short form of the content but this can be used to explore the long form of the content under "Articles". Similarly for posting if you use "Publish" then you can publish a long form of content but for a short form of content "Thread" can be used.
I will not go into deep dive into UI because a lot of features need to be added and once you start using it, it will be self-explanatory but the main focus is on how the LeoADs revenue will be distributed.
This is the most revolutionary aspect of this new UI and Leofinance Platform as it captures the view and estimates the ad revenue generated and I feel this is a revolutionary aspect to share the revenue.
This ad revenue is income generated by the platform that it wants to share and the team has said that this Ad revenue will be shared with the Leo Stakeholders in the form of Leo and the Ad revenue will be transparent and will be chosen in a decentralized manner by voting.
But this Ad revenue currently looks like favoring more of the stakeholders and I am not sure how the content creator fits in it. Definitely, the platform will take care of the content creators as it was already said earlier that top-viewed content will be rewarded though I guess nothing concrete was done earlier for it.
I see the main challenge will come when the model of Ad revenue is finalized and a perfect balance is needed in this model where it will be able to give a fair share to all the stakeholders of the platform.
I see it as just a start and a lot of work needs to be done to create a concrete model but it looks to step in the right direction. I also hope this might be implemented this year and not become part of "sooniverse"
Note: If you are not aware of Leofinance then you can read it here, the same description I am quoting below.
What is LeoFinance?
LeoFinance is an online community centered around the topics of finance and crypto. Users can create blog posts or even upload videos to our platform, which offers a few unique features over other similar platforms (like Seeking Alpha, for example):
Content Immutability — content is stored on a decentralized blockchain, which means that it cannot be taken down nor censored, unlike traditional social media platforms like Facebook
Tokenized Engagement — users earn LEO tokens for uploading posts, curating content, and commenting on other posts
Community Ownership — when users earn LEO, they are able to stake their tokens. The more LEO stake that a user has, the more power they have on the platform

I kinda understand why the ad revenue is shared with stakeholders cos most of those who create content on a regular basis also stake and therefore are/become stakeholders.
Splinterlands for example, is going in the same direction with their upcoming model in which the amount of your staked SPS determines the league & rewards. So players = stakeholders.
In both cases, I see this as a positive thing creating demand for the native tokens.
There is one catch in rewarding stakeholders.
Newbie might have 0 or less stakes and be overlooked.
New UI is now not limited to LEO content only so "Ad" attracting content might do not earn LEO at all nor its creator have LEO at all.
