If you've been following crypto news in the recent days you should be feeling a lot of excitement and suspense by now. If you're not feeling any of those, how are you doing it? 🌚

We've been waiting for the true bull run that used to happen every four years. It happened in 2013, 2017, 2021, and was supposed to happen again in 2025 but only BTC went high enough to be considered having to experienced a bull run.

We waited and waited for the Alt coins to bull too, but nothing except disappointments upon disappointments. The biggest experts were all waiting until the final blow was dealt on the 10th of October, 2024. Everything quite crashed and got back up a bit again.

No one saw that comic, and after that day no one knew anything again. No one knew what to expect again from the crypto market.

Clarity Act

But this year it seems we've found the right catalyst to bring in the bull run this year, especially for Alt coins. The catalyst is supposed to be the passing of the Crypto Clarity Act.

The Act is supposed to be laid down rules for cryptocurrencies by the American legal system, and it is supposed to make institutions, wall street and other investors to know that they can invest in Cryptocurrencies with clearer backing from the Law.

The vote in the Senate for this law is supposed to be going on right now. If the law is passed it is supposed to lead in the bull run. If the law is not passed we might start going law again. Emphasis on "might".

Interest Rates

"Might" because interest rates would be decided on tomorrow. And if it is reduced it could be a good catalyst too. Although everyone is saying the chances are very low that it is reduced, people are even seeing it getting increased, and if it is increased coupled with the Clarity Act not passing it seems we'll really see some downtrend in the market too.

But, there's actually some hope it might be reduced, and that is because Trump has always wanted the reduction. He pressured the former Fed Chair, persecuted him and even had him investigated his to get it reduced.

The current Fed Chair is Trump's guy and more likely to do what Trump says because Trump nominated him not long ago. And it's hard to say Trump no longer wants the reduction. He must still want it. And if he wants it the chances are very high that he would get it even though inflation, employment, and other indicators say the interest rate shouldn't be reduced.

It also seems he'll also want this reduction more if the Act doesn't get passed today. He wants to be able to brag about the crypto and stock market experiencing bull runs and make everyone happy just before the midterms it seems. And to get that at least one of these two have to happen: interest rates or the passing of the Act.

And if the Act can't pass today it can probably pass another day but the chance of reducing rates and getting uptrends in the markets before the midterms would be lost if he doesn't get it reduced tomorrow, so if the Act doesn't pass it seems like it is certain the interest rates would be reduced.

Let's see how it goes.

SEC Rules

It seems if all of these fails we can still have a little consolation that can serve as a catalyst no matter how weak. The SEC already said it would make clear rules for crypto if the Clarity Act doesn't pass. That might be something later on.
