Today I'm going to talk about the card Spirit of the Forest, so join me on this brief journey of knowledge.
Spirit of the Forest is a card from the Splinterlands game and in the past it was one of my favorite cards to use in my Earth Deck.

This is Spirit of the Forest, a legendary Earth Deck card with ranged attacks and 4 abilities.
I've always liked Spirit of the Forest because it has 3 advantages: a good chance to evade attacks, it's great support in battle, and it also deals a good amount of damage during battle.
I'm not a big fan of ranged monsters, but Spirit of the Forest is an exception, and now let's learn about its abilities.

Flying: +25% chance to evade physical attacks. No effect if the attacker also has Flying. Immune to Earthquake.
I always got really angry facing monsters with this ability because most of the time I missed the attack.

Snipe: Magic and ranged attacks target the first non-melee enemy unit behind the first position.
Monsters in the first position are usually the hardest to defeat, so Snipe is very useful for attacking the opponent's backline.

Tank Heal: Each round, restores 1/3 of max health (rounded down) to the allied unit in the first position.
Healing abilities are very useful for keeping the monster in the first position alive longer during battle.

Protect: +2 armor to all allied units.
Armor is very useful for protecting against melee and ranged attacks.
I mentioned before that Spirit of the Forest is one of the cards I really liked to use in the past, but it's also a great choice now, mainly because the card's mana cost isn't very high.
Now I'll show you how I use the Spirit of the Forest card in battles.

The star of this battle was Coeurl Lurker because it dodged most attacks and managed to survive until the end of the battle, but this wouldn't have been possible without the Tank Heal ability. The Protect ability also helped a lot because most of my opponent's monsters have melee or ranged attacks.

Close Range: With this rule, monsters with ranged attacks can attack in the first position.
The Close Range battle rule was another reason why I wanted to use the Spirit of the Forest card.
The battle would have been easier if my opponent hadn't chosen the summoner Lir Deepswimmer.

Now I'll talk about the Arcade Colony platform. On it, you'll find the games: Splinterlands, Moon Karts, StakeHouse Den, and Genesis League Goals.
For those unfamiliar with Arcade Colony, it's owned by Invennium Corp. Arcade Colony is a platform for arcades and video games with a functional economy based on a governance token, "COLONY", and a product-backed stablecoin called "SCRIPT".
Invennium Corp. is a 100% subsidiary of Splinterlands.
