Explaining How to Buy Foundations Pack and Opening My First Pack

Today I'll explain how to buy Foundations packs in Splinterlands, so join me on this brief journey of learning.

In my previous post, I talked a little about the game's Frontier format and how interesting it is because players can earn tradable cards in it and also have a chance to win Black Foil, Gold Foil Arcane, or Black Foil Arcane Foundations Cards in the WEEKLY FRONTIER DRAW.

For more information about the Frontier format, I recommend my post: Explaining How the Frontier Format Works in Splinterlands, where I explain the Frontier format and how to get started for free by completing Campaign mode.

You can also find more information at Frontier Format: FAQ.

I also invite you to check out Arcade Colony. There you'll find Splinterlands and three other games: Moon Karts, StakeHouse Den, and Genesis League Goals.

For those unfamiliar with Arcade Colony, it's owned by Invennium Corp. Arcade Colony is a platform for arcades and video games with a functional economy based on a governance token, "COLONY", and a product-backed stablecoin called "SCRIPT".

Invennium Corp. is a 100% subsidiary of Splinterlands.

For more information about Arcade Colony and how to create an account on this platform, read my post: Discover the Arcade Colony Platform.

Now let's return to the main focus of this post, which is the Foundations pack.

Currently, the Frontier format is the format I'm playing the most, but I have difficulty getting out of the Bronze league, so I decided to evolve my cards to make it easier and earn better rewards.

My main goal is to evolve all my Foundations cards to the maximum level, but I won't do it all at once because I can receive Foundations cards by playing in the Frontier format, so I'll only evolve those I consider most useful for battles.

With this goal in mind, my focus would be to buy the cards on the market, but I discovered that Foundations packs exist and couldn't resist buying them to try my luck.

There are two ways to buy Foundations packs on the Splinterlands website.

The first way is to go to the SHOP option and then Card Packs.

After clicking on Card Packs, you choose the Foundations option.

There are currently 282 Foundations Packs on the market, and the lowest price is $0.42.

The second way is to go to the MARKET option and then Other Items.

After clicking on Other Items, you choose the Foundations Pack option.

The prices are the same, the only difference is the path to get to the option to buy the Foundations Packs.

I don't have much luck with packs, so I decided to buy just one to see what cards I'll get. Since I currently have few Foundations cards, any card I receive will be very useful in my collection.

After purchasing the pack, I just need to go to the OPEN option.

Now I just need to open the pack and hope to get some great cards.

Remember that you can use Legendary Potions and Alchemy Potions in Foundations Packs.

Legendary Potion: Increases your chances of getting Legendary cards.

Alchemy Potion: Increases your chances of getting Gold Foil cards.

Since I'm only opening one pack, I only need 5 Legendary Potions and 5 Alchemy Potions.

I wasn't lucky enough to get any Legendary or Gold Foil cards, but I was lucky enough to get the summoner Incessant Sage, which is my favorite among Foundations cards.

Considering the prices of the cards I got, I didn't lose anything, so I can consider myself lucky, and it was fun to open the pack.

Now my focus will be buying the cards on the market and maybe a few more Foundation Packs to try my luck again.
