Today I'm going to talk about the Living Lava card, so join me on this brief journey of knowledge.
In the past, the Untamed edition was widely used in battles, and when it comes to protecting against physical attacks with a fire deck, Living Lava is a great ally.

Living Lava is a powerful monster for both defense and attack, but it has a major disadvantage: its low speed. This means it will be one of the last cards to attack in a round.
On the other hand, when the Reverse Speed rule is in effect in battle, Living Lava becomes an even better choice.

Reverse Speed: During the Reverse Speed Modifier, units with the lowest speed attack first and have the highest chance to evade attacks.
The main reason Living Lava is a great choice for battle is because of its abilities: Shield, Rust, and Thorns.

Shield: 50% less damage (rounded up) from physical attacks or 0 damage from physical attacks of 1 power.
This ability is very useful when protecting against melee and ranged attacks.

Rust: -2 armor to all enemy units.
Armor is a great way to protect against melee and ranged attacks, so reducing or eliminating the armor of enemy monsters will make them more vulnerable.

Thorns: Returns 2 physical damage to the attacker when hit by a melee attack.
This ability is a great way to deal more damage against melee monsters.
Now I will show the Living Lava card in battle.

I haven't had any battles with the Reverse Speed rule, so I'll use this battle as an example where my opponent only used melee and ranged monsters, so Living Lava was very useful.
There are many useful cards to defend in the first position in Splinterlands currently, and I rarely use Living Lava in my battles, but when the Reverse Speed rule is in place, it becomes a great choice for me.

Now I'll talk about the Arcade Colony platform. On it, you'll find the games: Splinterlands, Moon Karts, StakeHouse Den, and Genesis League Goals.
For those unfamiliar with Arcade Colony, it's owned by Invennium Corp. Arcade Colony is a platform for arcades and video games with a functional economy based on a governance token, "COLONY", and a product-backed stablecoin called "SCRIPT".
Invennium Corp. is a 100% subsidiary of Splinterlands.
