A Great Ally for Monsters with Magic Attack in the Water Deck

Today I'm going to talk about the summoner Valnamor in Splinterlands, so join me on this brief journey of knowledge.

When I started playing Splinterlands, the Chaos Legion edition was being released, and most of the cards I used in my battles back then were from that edition, but my favorites were always from the Untamed and Alpha/Beta editions.

I always liked using cards with spell attack in my battles because they have the advantage of ignoring the armor of enemy monsters and attacking their life directly, and for a long time the water deck was my favorite for this type of monster. At that time, the summoners from the Untamed and Alpha/Beta editions were very expensive to buy or rent; the only accessible summoner to buff my monsters with spell attack in the water deck was Alric Stormbringer, and even then, its price wasn't low, but the summoner I most wanted to use was Valnamor.

Valnamor is a legendary summoner from the Water deck, and using it in your battles will grant you 3 benefits:

• Valnamor will increase the spell attack of your allied monsters by +1.

• Valnamor will increase the life of your allied monsters by +1.

• Valnamor will increase the attack speed of your allied monsters by +1.

Currently, there are many summoners that will give you better benefits than Valnamor in the Water deck depending on your strategy, but in the past it was the pinnacle of summoners in this deck, and unfortunately I couldn't use it because the rental price was too high and not worth it. However, today it has a much more accessible price, whether to buy or rent.

You can acquire Valnamor at maximum level for less than $350 on the market currently, and honestly, that's still a bit pricey for just one summoner, but maybe in the future I'll try to acquire him if he's at a lower price and after I achieve my goal of having my Chaos Legion cards at maximum level.

Renting him is much more affordable, but I recommend doing it on the first day of the season, which is when card rental prices are low.

Another detail that catches my attention about Valnamor is his design, which I really like.

Now it's time to see in practice how Valnamor works in battle, so I'll show a battle using him.

This battle will be a good example of how useful the summoner Valnamor is in battles. And I say this because there's a Back to Basics battle rule.

Back to Basics: In this rule, monsters lose all their abilities.

This is a good rule for monsters with spell attacks because they can attack from any position, meaning enemy monsters won't have the Void Armor ability.

I was lucky that my opponent used an Earth deck and the summoner Immortalis. This is one of the summoners that's very popular in battles nowadays and a great choice to face monsters with spell attacks, but it wasn't enough to overcome my strategy with the summoner Valnamor, and in the end, I was victorious.

A good strategy for this type of battle is to use monsters with high HP, attack, and speed.
