Slow progress in the savings world for MMO
Hello Savers!
Are you a saver, or a spender, or a wee bit of both depending on your mood, like we at MMO are!
This is the male half of @mmonline writing today. Both @deraaa and I @tengolotodo have had a wickedly busy couple of weeks, so much so we did not post an update on our Saturday Savers club goals progress last week!
So today you have got me! Lucky you
The picture above is where I was galavanting at last weekend, it is also the beach where I took my first steps many many years ago as a wee toddler.
Baby steps
I think that also applies to our growth on Hive.
Not only have we been grinding our daily work but we have been testing things for MMO which is great but means we were short on time when it came to writing posts for Hive.
That in turn meant low if not next to zero returns in the form of rewards and so our saving plan was impacted!
Our goals
We set some goals for MMO for the year. One of our passions is creating a platform where people can find avenues on making passive income. This also means that we are doing the same for MMO. Hive is very popular for that. Our goals for this year is pretty simple, well if you look at it from the surface:
- Save 365 HBD (which equates to 1 HBD a day)
- Refer 52 users.
Now, looking at this from the surface, it looks pretty easy, yet, there is so much background work that needs done for that to work. We have managed to stake $8.20 in our HBD savings.
We are averaging 1 HBD per week rather than the 1 HBD which we need to crack the goal.
However Rome was not built in a day, and I believe as we ramp up our Hive content we will as a consequence be able to ramp up our savings of HBD.
We are following the penny savings challenge which starts off slow and compounds so to speak towards the end of the year with bigger savings contributions.
As we have only just started our Hive journey we are a small account. Although we are subscribing to Inleo premium membership. Getting eyes to our Hive posts is incredibly hard, and users forget how hard it is for new users to get a foothold into Hive.
We missed powering up Leo for LPUD on the 15th and we missed powering up BBH for BPUD on the 20th.
We are collecting a few layer 2 tokens which is always good news!
Well maybe we can participate in getting some more, but for the time being, we are happy progressing out goals for the Saturday Savers Club
Referrals
We have been looking at doing this organically but it is quite hard explaining to people what Hive is about.
Especially with the furore around KE and investor/extractor status.
In life we can enjoy things in moderation, so when it comes to taking rewards out, then I think in moderation is acceptable and that is what I am saying to people. But just powering down all the time is wrong, or powering out after a few years then coming back expecting big rewards is wrong too!
