My first "big" Power Up. A few days ago, I was looking to move my savings, since they're barely growing at the bank at 1% annually.
After reviewing my options, I decided to deposit a small amount here and continue learning more about this platform. I dont have much savings, only like $300 or $350 (talking about bank only), specifically, money that I dont need in my day to day to survive.

My idea is to start saving money here in Hive, money that I dont need, and deposit it.
Although my biggest savings are currently videogames, merchandise and everything related to them, my collection is currently worth about $3000 (today's price).
Although I dont see my collection as money, its a hobby, but I know that if tomorrow I need money urgently, I can always resort to selling a part of it.
What I mean by this is that having savings is important. If you can afford to set aside a few dollars each month, when you realize it in 1 or 2 years, you will have plenty of money.
ā ļø However, having the money in the bank without doing anything is not the best option, because inflation rises much more than the interest the bank pays you.
Personally, I like to have some limited edition or retro items in my collection, since its almost certain that I will be able to make some money over time.
I've also been thinking about buying gold, although I'd like it to be in physical format. But its only profitable if you buy very heavy ingots, which is out of my budget. However, I've been looking another option, i can invest in "digital" format. I have that option in my bank's app.
I think its also important, dont keep all your money in one place.
