I think I'm going to need to rebrand this little weekly event I do every Saturday night. Over the past few years, without missing a beat, I've highlighted the week that was on Hive.
I'm extremely bullish on this blockchain and part of my excitement got the better of me throughout those same years. I poked around into every layer 2 project I could think of, and spread myself way too thin...
This past January I decided it was time to re-do my goals. And part of that, like I mentioned before was to trim the fat. Basically, I wanted to concentrate on only a few projects going forward. Not because I didn't find them all valuable, but because I have learned over the years....
When you FOCUS, good things happen!
And with that, my big focus this year was 2 fold....
To continue to build and promote CTPX and the CTP tribe!
But also, to dive deep into @LeoFinance
And as you can see this week, I'm very close to hitting a goal I never thought in a million years I'd be able to achieve. This is solely because, I focused. I didn't try to build my stake in a million and one projects, I kept it laser targeted on a few, not many!
And unless you are living under a rock, it's safe to say that $LEO is one of the best projects on the blockchain with a ton of upside.
So let's dive in, and see how the past 7 days went on chain for yours truly....
Things you love to see....Steady stacking of $HIVE and climbing up that mountain once again. I know I'm saying that I want to hit 150k, but I'd be tickled pink with hitting 100k this year too.
150,000 - 90,504.698 = 59,495.31 left to go
And who knows if I'll hit it, but I'm working hard towards that goal for sure. The best part about Web 3.0, is that we are rewarded on chain for showing up and putting out value.
Plus, I'm too stubborn to stop ;)
How's that for a nice looking number?
50,000 - 49,172.26 = 827.74 left to go
Under 1k before I hit my new goal and get that awesome title of 'Leader of the Pack' within the LEO tribe lol
The Zealy campaign has turned me into a fiend for LEO and everywhere I go, I'm trying to stack as much of it as I can. Will I stop at 50k?
I guarantee I won't!
Because like I mentioned above, this is a project on Hive that I'm most bullish about. And as $LEO is only around 5 cents each right now, I think it's the steal of all steals in cryptocurrency!
This has taken a hit over the past few weeks, mainly because of how things changed up with the curation on Leo Voter. And I completely understand why they did it. I think members that contribute to the tribe, should have a say and the decentralized approach to curation makes a lot of sense.
That being said, while I appreciate everything that's going on there...I'm not sure if I want to change up completely how I write to make 'SEO' happy. Something I remember reading years ago from an author I really appreciated was...
"Always write like you talk! It's much more human!"
Time for a little rant from my 20 plus years in online business. SEO while it stands for 'search engine optimization', I think should stand for search engine optimist. Because the powers that be, can change that algorithm any anytime. I know this because for years as an affiliate marketer, I bowed to the wills of Google. To make their algo happy.
Only for them to change things up and kill some traffic sources I built over the years. I feel organic is the best way to go. So while there are things you can do, I'm not a huge fan of bowing to Google and their algo.
So my posts may not always be 750 characters or more, I've never really put a number on my content. I just write. If people like it, awesome. No matter what the character count.
And I'm still trying to master Leo Glossary lol
But anywho, enough of my whining, let's see how we did this past week..
29.03 Rewards from Creating
13.25 Rewards from Curating
13 Rewards from Misc.
Total rewards = 55.28 per day
Over 55 Hive per day, so I'm VERY happy about that!
Another awesome stat this week....
8.77% on my curation APR!
Still need to get better every week on producing content that people actually enjoy and get value from. So if there is anything I can produce, that you guys might find valuable...Please let me know.
I may not want to cater all the time to Google. But I'll for sure cater to this amazing and remarkable communities here on Hive....You guys are my new 'bosses' :)

Great job. Your doing quite good and the number keeps going up. I suggest saving some LEO for LPUD. You don't want to miss out on the things like NFTs and I think you missed out this time because of powering up throughout the month. It might hurt your earnings a little bit from curation but I still prefer to just power up on LPUD.
Yeah I had no idea that was even coming, until it was too late lol I just don't like liquid crypto...Too tempted to sell lol

That is a lot but I see you working towards it already
Congratulations to you
Always working hard, or at least that's what I tell myself!

I think one way to master leoglossary is to probably study the words and integrate them ad topics of you want to write a specific aspect of finance. Congratulations to you, I'm also looking for Leo and sincerely I've been greedily doing so too. Hive is the real deal
Yeah I just need to integrate the glossary into more of the words I use in my content. AKA, remember not to be lazy lol

This is prettttyy much the most interesting part of the blog
...besides all the other interesting stuff of course.
Doing well Jongo, it's pretty nice seeing the growth records of someone who is as active as yourself. Making it a measurement tool for savvy content creators to determine if they could be living off Hive full-time.
Man it's awesome. That you can absolutely love something and be rewarded to talk about it each and every day. Hive full time income, is always the dream!!

I agree with you when you focus your attention on a couple of things, you increase your odds of success. When you are spreading on too many things, it is hard to be successful in everything.
It really is, focusing is a super power we all have but rarely use!

I'm glad to hear that you are reevaluating your goals.
Focusing on a few projects is definitely a smart move, it allows you to give them your full attention and really excel in those areas.
Best of luck with your new goals.

As I always call it after several years of fanning out, "Back to Basics". Getting back to the fundmentals and focusing on what you really want to achieve in the short, medium and long term. To your success and I know you will reach what you are aiming for.

There are so many possibilities here in the Greater Hive community that it's very easy to become spread too thin. Whereas it's perhaps nice to diversify, there also comes a point where getting our fingers in every pie feels more like di-WORSE-ifying because we can't give everything the attention it deserves.
Interesting to come across this post today, as I am also in the process of simplifying what I hope to accomplish here.
=^..^=
Yeah for sure. Doesnt mean we can't branch out to other things...I just think I should focus and build things up before I step out again.

I remember I started into the freelance writing and the adsense blogs. And google algo destroyed the earnings in 2012 and since then I could not able to stand back up with blog income in adsense. I feel diversification needs to be there. Hive is really important on that front. For traffic, for links and many other options even for YouTube traffic too.
Yeah for sure. Putting all your eggs in a platform that can change on a dime, is tough....Google, PayPal...I've learned my lesson.
