Life Stories and Hardworking People on the Road

Today, while walking along a busy street like every day, I suddenly saw a simple but deeply touching scene. A tractor was standing next to the sidewalk and hundreds of raw and seasoned red bricks were placed behind that tractor. In the intense heat and dusty environment, two hardworking people were unloading the bricks from the tractor with great attention.

One of them was wearing a pink shirt and the other was wearing an olive or green dress. Without any fatigue or complaint, they were arranging the red bricks one by one and arranging them on the side of the road. Seeing them throwing bricks or shifting them and placing them in a row one after another, it is clear how much skill and experience they have in this difficult daily work. The pressure and hard work behind each brick was clearly visible on their sweaty bodies.

This familiar image of our city is much more true and close to life. They are the main builders of the big buildings, beautiful bridges or paved roads that we see every day. How many of us properly understand the value of the labor of those who work day after day for the development of the country, risking their lives in the sun and rain. Yet their days end with a small income that might be enough to feed their families once a day.

While walking around this busy city, there is a lot of noise from cars and people. Even amidst the noise of battery-operated rickshaws, CNG and pedestrians, their entire attention was only on arranging the bricks. Loving their work and putting a smile on the faces of their families, they work in this way, risking their lives.

Such scenes constantly remind us of what the real struggle of life is. No work is small and those who earn money by sweating in an honest way are the real heroes. We should pay tribute to their relentless hard work and tireless efforts. There is genuine love and respect for these countless silent soldiers on the streets.
