The world of investments is a real roller coaster, especially when we are exposed to the universe of cryptocurrencies. Volatility is high, and changes in applications and technologies happen very quickly. As a result, new projects emerge all the time, and others that were previously consolidated end up losing ground.

Back in 2021, I dove headfirst into NFT games, and Splinterlands was my gateway to Hive. Today, it is Hive that keeps me connected to this crypto world. Over the past five years, I have been consistently building my profile and getting stronger with the accumulation of HP, investing basically time, dedication, and patience. Along the way, I made some right decisions and several mistakes as well.

At the height of Splinterlands, my collection was worth about $10,000, and I didn't make a profit. I didn't sell any of the cards I had accumulated. Then came the NFT bear market, and everything lost value sharply. My collection was now worth less than $2,000.

That moment showed me in practice how volatile the crypto market is. Even so, I always tried to invest consciously, diversifying and taking advantage of cycles. When the market is high, it's time to sell some of your holdings; when it's low, it's time to accumulate.

Hive is a clear example of this for me. A year ago, the price was around $0.20 or less, and I was accumulating. When it reached between $0.50 and $0.60, I was able to ride that cycle well. I withdrew a portion to pay bills and help me in times when I really needed it.

But I never had the mindset to withdraw everything. I always kept in mind that the more HP I have, the stronger and more relevant I become within the ecosystem. My focus was never to withdraw Hive, but rather to accumulate it. Withdrawals happened at strategic moments, during stronger highs or when necessary.

During the highs, I always told the #HiveBR folks that the bull cycle passes quickly and the bear cycle is long, and that at some point Hive could fall to around $0.05. Today we are very close to that, with the price in the $0.06 range.

It's a difficult time, but even so, I feel comfortable. As long as Hive exists, I'll continue to be here, posting and increasing my HP. It's not easy to maintain consistency every day, especially with the current price and the drop in rewards. I used to like it when the price fell because I earned more Hive per post. Today it's much more challenging.

I hope you are also comfortable in this cycle, either because you took advantage of the opportunities that Hive gave you, or because you diversified. Ultimately, there is no right or wrong. Everyone has their own strategy when it comes to investing.

Currently, my plan is to continue accumulating HP and gradually buying $BTC, especially if prices fall even further.

O mundo dos investimentos é uma verdadeira roda gigante, principalmente quando a gente está exposto ao universo das criptomoedas. A volatilidade é alta e as mudanças nas aplicações e nas tecnologias acontecem muito rápido. Com isso, novos projetos surgem o tempo todo e outros que antes eram consolidados acabam perdendo espaço.

Lá por 2021 eu entrei de cabeça nos jogos NFT e o Splinterlands foi a minha porta de entrada para a Hive. Hoje é a Hive que me mantém conectado com esse mundo cripto. Ao longo desses cinco anos fui construindo meu perfil com consistência e ficando mais forte com o acúmulo de HP, investindo basicamente tempo, dedicação e paciência. Nesse caminho tive alguns acertos e vários erros também.

No auge do Splinterlands a minha coleção chegou a valer cerca de $10.000 e eu não realizei lucro. Não vendi parte das cartas que tinha acumulado. Depois veio o bear market dos NFTs e tudo desvalorizou forte, minha coleção passou a valer menos de $2.000.

Esse momento me mostrou na prática o quanto o mercado cripto é volátil. Mesmo assim sempre procurei investir de forma consciente, diversificando e aproveitando os ciclos. Alta é momento de realizar uma parte, baixa é momento de acumular.

A Hive é um exemplo claro disso para mim. Há um ano atrás, o preço estava na faixa dos $0.20 ou menos eu estava acumulando. Quando chegou entre $0.50 e $0.60 consegui surfar bem esse ciclo. Retirei uma parte para pagar contas e me ajudar em momentos em que eu realmente precisava.

Mas nunca tive o perfil de sacar tudo. Sempre tive em mente que quanto mais HP eu tenho mais forte e mais relevante eu me torno dentro do ecossistema. Meu foco nunca foi retirar Hive e sim acumular. As retiradas aconteceram em momentos estratégicos, em altas mais fortes ou quando houve necessidade.

Durante as altas eu sempre falava para o pessoal da #HiveBR que o ciclo de alta passa rápido e o de baixa é longo, e que em algum momento a Hive poderia cai para cerca de $0.05. Hoje estamos bem perto disso, com o preço na faixa dos $0.06.

É um momento complicado, mas mesmo assim eu me sinto confortável. Enquanto a Hive existir eu vou continuar aqui, postando e aumentando meu HP. Não é fácil manter a constância todos os dias, ainda mais com a cotação atual e com a queda nas recompensas. Antes eu gostava quando o preço caía porque ganhava mais Hive por postagem. Hoje está bem mais desafiador.

Espero que você também esteja confortável nesse ciclo, seja porque aproveitou as oportunidades que a Hive deu, seja porque diversificou. No fim das contas não existe certo ou errado. Cada um tem a sua própria estratégia quando o assunto é investir.

Atualmente, meu plano é continuar acumular HP e comprando aos pouco $BTC, principalmente se as cotações caírem ainda mais.
