My 2024 Hive Goals Update

It's been a few weeks since I put out my first post about my goals for Hive in 2024. It's always good to revisit goals to track progress, and posting about it is a good way to cement it in my mind. It also acts as a subconscious reminder.

Hive Posting
My goal is to post every other day in order to balance work, family time, and posting. So far this seems to be working well and is a manageable pace.

Hive Power Ups
I currently sit at 1257 HP and plan to get that up to at least 2000 by the end of the year. I'm averaging about 30 HP per week. At that pace, I should hit about 2786 by the end of the year. I'm going to increase my goal to 3500 to push myself since I'll easily exceed 2000 HP at this rate.

Hive Onboarding Committee
This is a new project that @bitcoinman and I started up, to help bring other Hive users together with the goal of 1)onboarding new users, 2)supporting, teaching and encouraging them as they learn the basics, and 3)having those previously onboarded go out and onboard others.

There's naturally going to be a lot of trial and error here, but my goal is to try and personally onboard two people to start. So far there has been mild interest from users on X, but no success on Reddit due to the silver subreddit moderators being uptight. The search continues.

BRO
Right now, I only have a little over 17 BRO tokens. Considering one BRO sells for over 8 Hive right now, I'm keeping my goal here extremely conservative. I will try to bring my total holdings here to 30 since I'll pick up some off Tribaldex.

DAB/DBOND
I'm currently staking 435 DBOND to mint me new DAB each day. I have ~552 DAB now due to trading some silver for them. I currently get about 0.176 DAB/day, so a conservative goal for DAB would likely be around 630 DAB, since I'll likely pick up more DAB along the way and want to increase my staked DBOND to 500 or more to mint more DAB long term.

DRIP
I currently have 78 DRIP staked and get about 5.7/month in staking rewards. I plan to buy some in addition to regular rewards, so my conservative goal here is 125 staked by the end of the year. I get Hive drips for staking it, so this will continue to compound over time and keep growing my daily and monthly income on Hive.

HIQS
One of the goals with HOC is to support new users. It can be discouraging not getting any recognition or rewards for good content. HiQ runs a bot that lets you call for a vote on someone's post with a specific command. The reliability is iff, so I'm actually reducing my staked shares to 50, so I can still call 2 votes, but I'm unstaking the other 65 and selling those off.

LGN
I originally was delegating to stickupcurator to get Legion drips. I recently stopped since some have been dumping Legion cheap. It's normally around 1 Hive each, but has recently dipped to 0.82 each, so I took advantage. I have 97 staked right now. I'll likely move my goal to 150 since I plan to steadily buy more.

ZING
I've decided to more aggressively pursue tokens that provide Hive drips, so I've stopped delegating and staking, and am selling these off.

EDS
I didn't originally have any of this in my previous goals post. EDS provides nice Hive dividends, so I plan to keep adding more to my holdings. They recently introduced EDS-D which can be bought at 1 HBD each, and mint continual EDS tokens weekly. When you don't want them anymore, you send them back and get your HBD refunded. I currently have a recurring HBD transfer of 0.3 HBD every other day, to build up a stockpile.

2024 End Goal
My overall goal with these investments is to get in while they're cheaper and maintain a daily and monthly Hive drip, not including my regular posting regiment. With everything included, my goal is to bring in an average of 4-5 Hive by the end of 2024. I'm currently at about 3.1 Hive/day so I think my updated goal here will be to average 6-7 Hive/day by the end of 2024.

I may take some profits during this time, but the majority of it will be reinvested to keep growing.
