New Hive blockchain communities created in the past three months

As I like to say it, communities are the bloodline of the Hive blockchain and they are powering everything around. And as it has passed more then three months since my last overview on them, I thought it was time to see what's new in the brotherhood (or motherhood). Engagement is easier when we are part of something as on our own we often lose the motivation and commitment to be present and network. But along others we feel the energy of the tribe and we easily join the conversation and end up sharing our own thoughts and hobbies, either in the form of new articles or comments or replies.

In the period between April 2025 and June 2026 (3 inclusive months), we have 25 new established communities. The number might not seem big at first, but let's remember that we are navigating bearish times and that there are conflicts all over the world that got investors worried and more calculate with their funds. In the same time the AI narrative for sure ate a lot of money that could have been otherwise distributed also to crypto amongst other domains. The AI might intertwine with crypto at some point through agenting trading and other integrations, but we are not there yet, thus we will not eat any money going into AI for now. Thus, I believe that it is understandable that things slowed down in the crypto space and that also the Hive blockchain is touched by it. But the important thing is that we are still growing and expanding and those that have initiative in bearish time, might reap the bigger rewards when the market turns around.

Top 3 Hive Communities - April 2026 - June 2026

1. Scrobble.life

Scrobble.life is a community of people who enjoy tracking, discussing and reviewing the music, movies, TV shows, podcasts and other entertainment they consume. Members can share reviews, recommendations and automatically log their listening and viewing history on the Hive blockchain through a browser extension, creating a permanent personal entertainment archive. It combines social discovery with content creation, making it a hub for entertainment enthusiasts who want to own and share their media history. And it already has 107 members.

2. Ocean Lovers

This is a community dedicated to everything related to the ocean, from marine wildlife and conservation to surfing, sailing, diving, beach life and coastal adventures. It welcomes photographers, travelers, environmental advocates, artists and anyone with a passion for the sea to share original experiences, knowledge and creative work. The community also promotes awareness of ocean conservation while celebrating the beauty and culture of marine environments. Already 35 members joined this growing community.

3. First Context

First Context is a community focused on discovering and sharing valuable "signals": early insights, emerging ideas, trends and noteworthy information that others may have overlooked. It serves as a place where signal scouts identify promising developments and signal miners analyze, refine and expand on those discoveries to provide meaningful context. The goal is to surface high-value information early and encourage thoughtful discussion around its potential significance. With 30 members joining, this is quite promising.

Communities are growing in numbers on the Hive blockchain and in the last period we saw some innovative ideas coming into the space. I feel that some of them are bridging closer the gap between web2 and web3 and enrich their use cases while bringing more value in the Hive ecosystem. We need more thinking like that if we want Hive to thrive and grow and I think now with AI breaking the coding barrier, that we will see more and more projects in this space. I would like to encourage anyone that has some time to create a community as it is quite easy and it can build a tribe of supporting members that will help any participant grow.

PS: One of the created communities in this period (https://peakd.com/c/hive-143434/created) was initiated by me, but there is so much one person can do. The intention is there, but I feel like I approached too many projects at once and I can only focus on some of them - and Hive Pulse is one that gets my attention more than others.
